If he's better that what you've got then you make exceptions (it's called managing), old red nose at the scum knew when to dump players but broke his rules over Cantona. And if players want him gone because he is too popular with the fans then they need to grow up. If we have better than him coming in I'll agree with you completely, but I'm not sure I'm sold on a 1st day pairing of Cooper & and untried 20 year old loanee from Brighton that's never played in this division. Does anyone seriously believe when he goes, it will be to Brentford, they maybe the team to place the offer but do you think he would choose to go there when Sheff Utd, Southampton Villa and Fulham are supposedly interested. On a serious note, this could be a watershed moment for Bielsa. So far he has had unwavering support of the fans, but looking at SB and responses on Twitter, Pontus has cult like status and a lot of fans think this is a huge mistake that will weaken us. We open up badly and the IBWT will be sorely tested judging from what I'm reading.
