I just remembered Matth saying last season he wanted City to win the league. I thought unusual for a Man U supporter, so now we know, he loves his Granny more x

I wanted Man City to win the league last season, Because I didn’t want Liverpool to win it.

See to a mere neutral like me, that dosen't make sense. But I believe a club that is over an hour away from you is your biggest rival. Whereas I thought it would have been Man City....much like Sheff Utd v Wed or Notts Forest v County. It makes me wonder are most Man U supporters Welsh?

In top flight football there is an old rivalry between United and Pool...a stale rivalry but nevertheless a rivalry. City were really nobodies up until about 2010. It's like me...I support Spurs...Spurs/Arsenal is the rivalry but many would think it's Spurs/Chelsea but to us Chelsea are a bit meh and not really rivals...just nobodies who have been able to catch up a bit with the true traditional powerhouses of English football

So I understand Matthew's sentiment

I prefer the Welsh argument myself ;)

I think most United fans would have wanted City to win the league over Liverpool. Matth wanted City to beat us though, that’s a different gravy. He won’t live that down as long as he keeps pretending he’s a United fan.

no, they're generally from the home counties or Asia.

The Liverpool/Manchester Utd rivalry pisses all over the Utd/City one, Matthew is right on that count.

The problem comes when he wants his team to lose just to **** liverpool up, as his Uncle just pointed out.

The stupidest part was he actually thought Utd would beat City, otherwise it wouldn't have even been a thing. Lol.
