Yet here we are with Vardy, Pereira, Maguiire, Maddison, Chilwell .... clubs very much on the up ...

As for the 2 we sold, Kante had a release clause .. Mahrez was signed for £450k and sold him for £60 million .... he was made to stay until we wished to sell .... which is also our current policy <cheers>

PS Kante and Mahrez ha ave won 4 more Premiership titles than Steven Gerrard .. interesting fact <whistle>

He was, then we got suarez. And the Chavs got a dud for 50m, there's no arguing they never got a proper torres regardless of any important goals he scored for them

Tanguy Ndombele is heading to Tottenham despite Manchester United’s late move (Getty Images) Manchester United failed with a late push to sign Tanguy Ndombele ahead of Tottenham. Spurs have shattered their transfer record for the France international having agreed a €62 million (£55.4m) deal with Lyon, plus a further €10m (£8.8m) in add-ons. Ndombele has also agreed a six-year contract with Spurs and has completed his medical after arriving in London. But according to The Guardian, Spurs were forced to fend off ‘late interest’ from United with Mauricio Pochettino playing a key role in convincing the midfielder to reject a switch to Old Trafford. Ndombele impressed for Lyon last season (Getty Images) United and Manchester City had both been interest in Ndombele but the midfielder was impressed with Spurs after he met with Pochettino at the club’s training ground last week. The France international made 34 appearances for Lyon last season and was instrumental in helping the club finish third in Ligue 1.
