Man Utd to bid £50m for Jon McGinn from Villa being reported on TalkSport! Surely not, I know he was decent last year but not that good!

Ball got crossed high for a header, so obviously a goal. Like all this World Cup. Shoot high in the goal, or cross it for a header. Seems to be a goal every time.

Have England's women been watching some of the NCFC defending lessons - 2 free headers = 2 goals???
Time to 'earn your corn/crust' at half time Phil

I don't think Abramovich has lost the plot JMF, he's reacting to having his wealth increasingly under scrutiny, having withdrawn his application for a Visa renewal reputedly because of the need to prove his financial legitimacy. The plan for further significant investment into Stamford Bridge has also been shelved, reputedly for the same reason. Times are a-changing at Chelsea FC despite the signing of Kovacic, and for more reasons than the loss of Edin Hazard.

Paul Lambert doing a good job getting the fans excited for the new season!!:

“I don’t get the idea that people think there’s money – where’s the money coming from?” said Lambert.

“We can’t buy anybody, that’s the fact of it, but that’s no problem because we have some really good young players.

“They may need a little bit of help but we can’t go and buy anybody, regardless of what anyone thinks about deals done before my time and the knock-on of money coming in.”

“We haven’t spent no money at all – none. If you spend money then I can understand people saying ‘you have to be up there’ and ‘you have to win titles’. I get all that.

“Without money it’s a different project, but the objective is still the same. It’s to try and be successful. But we haven’t spent any money.

“Why do people think we’re automatically going to be in the top six? Because we’re Ipswich?”

I can only think that he hasn't walked because his stock has fallen so far now, the offers have totally dried up. The only way he gets his career back on track is to get them promoted and whilst most of that bluster is an attempt at expectation management. Anything less than the playoffs has to be viewed as a failure. I have a bet with a binner friend that we will stay up and them stay down. I'm reasonably confident!

Bah!

Thoughts on the new Hull City top?

I thought it looked horrendous when I first saw it on it's own. On the players, maybe slightly better, would look better if they put on shirts that fit them.

I dunno.
Bold, different and cool
Or really cringy tiger print muck?
