I believe he has some qualities which Klopp appreciates, and perhaps willing to play for Klopp.Look at Origi's situation we nearly let him go last year.

He doesn't seem to get a fair crack he looked good in friendlies but seems to be loaned out continuously I would say he is a much better option then Lallana.

for me if theres some plan to have him in squad next year not this year but you dont even give him a couple weeks of our preseason to establish his fitness and make sure he's at least part of the group..
    ..... well.... that's just me. let's see.

They chose their careers themselves with our full support but how much money they could make never entered into it.

I've never made career decisions based solely on earnings potential. I'm constantly baffled by the repeated assertions of some that money is the sole criterion by which everybody lives their life. It seems that as that may be the case for they themselves they cannot imagine anyone seeing things differently.
Top footballers are set for life anyway, regardless of which big club they choose.

    Nah mate.

If a kid was actually willing to listen... and actually really listen you've got to be able to explain that being a pro is about delivering your commitments and not expecting any favours. A por can through absolutely no fault of his be turfed out by a manager change. You can't take it personally. its just business all round.

Don't fall for club loyalty etc

If you've a 10-12 year career to manage then taking the big bucks in years 1 to 3 may not be the best return over the longer term. The same story with say alli and kane at spurs, resigning a new long term deal every season sounds great but you've handed levy total control.

My view is sign the best deal for your long term career. Thats not the biggest pay cheque, nor should it be the smallest pay cheque. Its about the development to put yourself in the position of 23/24 to get a the deal with all the trimmings to get you to 28 where you get another big long deal as a man at your peak.... and from then on it 32/33 and one year deals.

If you are 18, a 5 year deal is ok but how do you maximise your changes of being 23 and having he pick of top club.. if you are that good.

    my example:

Delle alli signed a 6 year deal with spurs in 2018.... apparently for 150k per week but we will see. It could be the case given kanes deal. he signed that deal at 22.

Now.... i've no real issue with that if its the top of his earning bracket but he handed spurs and levy total control of his career for the best years of his career... he also promptly nose dived in form and fitness etc (but thats another tale)

If he'd signed a 4 year deal for whatever. 120k. thats a lot of earning lost but at 26 he could have moved on a free and absoltuely killed it somewhere for 4/5 years and made that 30k per week back and then some.

Depends on your understanding of "set for life"

Sadly our concept of living well is not theirs. Theirs costs far more money to keep the boats and ho's paid for.

There are imo 3 separate strands of thought that should come together when making a career decision.

    a) does this further my career goals (for me you you that could have been whatever job or title or role. For a footballer it could be win CL or win titles or whatever.)

    b) Does the remuneration suit? It has to factor. nobody works for free, nobody lives on pot noodle cos they love their job and scrimping on food is easier than giving up the joy etc etc)

    c) Do i have a quality of life. this can range from family considerations to travel to work to time off to whatever.

a young footballer might be quite happy to job round europe for a big club like chelsea or liverpool or whoever on perma loan. Or a young player might decide to go try dortmund rather than hang round city's academy.. etc etc... an older man might not want to move his family to the cold north west or his missus might have started on to him after 2 years of a 5 year deal to get her bac to the sun etc etc... who knows.

In general the renumeration is a factor, yes its not the only one, but over a 10 year career its got to be right to keep the bubbly flowing and hookers coming.

My point is that we don't all think alike. My objection is to the "everybody would do this" type of assertion.

    Zidane makes Asensio decision
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has poured cool water on the transfer speculation linking Marco Asensio with a move toLiverpool.

The Spain international is a long-term Reds target amid claims he had fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.

Zidane has splashed some serious cash this summer landing Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard among others, and it was suggested that Asensio is no longer in his plans.

But reports from Spain suggest the France World Cup winner is prepared to give the Spaniard a chance to save his career atReal Madridthis season.

Which is fair enough, if you are willing to trade 5 mil earnings over a contract for a CL medal play for LFC. IF not play for whoever pays that extra money.

It really is up to attitude.

I just find the twats on here hilarious when they start being snide ****s about training facilities etc ;)

nice but headline misleading when you actually read article.

Burnely get 2.3mil or something. so we only get 18mil now and 2 mil add ons so its actually only a 15.8mil boost to our FFP numbers.
