Nicky,I said I would make no further remarks on this thread,however,as the last paragraph was aimed at me personally, I would love to know HOW you knew I was afraid to go out to Hanley at night? You obviously find yourself amusing so I suppose I will have to as well,because I must avoid your wrath at all costs!! Maybe I used the wrong word(patriotic)I was trying to make the point that it`s traditional to sing Rule Britannia on the Last Night of the Proms,but nobody in their right mind believes we still DO for God`s sake!! The point I was really objecting to was the sneering assumption that everyone in the crowd were Tories.The Last Night of the Proms,love it or loathe it, is surely apolitical!!One other point,just because I don`t think multiculturalism has worked(Trevor Phlilips would agree with me) it doesn`t make me a racist because I too hate racist chants as any decent person would!
