I was thinking he will have to dress up Theresa May's deal somehow, sell it to his MPs. Labour abstain, May's deal is accepted, the ERG go ape. Johnson loses a subsequent vote of confidence as the opposition parties unite alongside the DUP and ERG, as well as Ken Clarke et al. Johsnon's premiership is at an end.
Before you all get the wrong idea. Do remember that the EU simply WILL NOT further re-negotiate any deal. Here's the latest thing Professor Michael Dougan has said. Remember this guy knows what he's talking about. Pretty much any else you might hear from Tory PM candidates is BS where an accidental truth might unknowlingly find its way through:
It's getting hard to find a country without right-wing lunatics with ridiculous blondish hair. The UK: The US: Canada: Holland: Do they all have the same ****ing stylist?
Mark Francois at his charming best, telling anti-Brexit campaigner Steve Bray that “we are signing your death warrant”:
There's actually a country where a big surge in Democratic Socialism is happening as a reaction to the extreme right wing politics exercised there. The USA. Go back up the thread to find a video of one of the lead proponents and watch. There's nothing said there that any of us here would disagree with.
Mods, can we shut down this thread down until there are some politics to talk about? Do I have to watch the BBC and read the newspapers giving all their time to the morons in the Tory party until the 31st of October when **** all will have happened? When a general election is announced you can open it up again! love .... John
Gove can now concéntrate on appearing in the next episode of "Get me out of here," as surely this man wth so much talent is wasted in politics. He can start thinking of a career in the media, doing dinner speeches, getting directorships, writing best sellers, spilling the beans on all his soon to be former colleagues and telling the newspapers how awful Boris is. July 22 ---- we wake up to find Hunt is new PM!!!
I knew there was a Wilko Johnson but not a Chilco Johnson! There's a riot going on! (in the music thread)
I expect this has been seen before, but hopefully Boris will be so indignant at how the new PM is being chosen, he will follow the advice of this MP from 2007.
A general election now would almost certainly end in a hung parliament. Possibly with Lib Dems gaining considerably more seats. It could end up with no party being nowhere near a majority which would make things even worse than they are now. Which would make a no deal Brexit the most likely scenario.
Anyone get the feeling that there is not a great deal of love between Gove and Johnson? So if Blowjob succeeeds in becoming PM, and does not take Gove into his Cabinet, how long will it be before Gove starts spilling the beans to the press about the new glorious PM?
