A few memorable ones,

The Damned @Hull City Hall 79
The Clash @Brid Spa 80
The Jam @LEEDS Queens Hall
Killing Joke @Spring Street
Crass @Blind Institute Bev Rd
B52's @Manc Apollo
The Strokes @Hull City Hall
Buzzcocks @Beverley Folk Festival
Primal Scream @Zebedees Yard.

I was at the Clash Brid Spa gig.

Slept in the back of a Triumph Herald Vitesse Estate that night in a car park.

Nice car.

If only they'd made a version with brakes.

Exploited played at Welly bout the time Army Life/**** the Mods came out ,

I was also at the Crass Blind institute gig, the Damned at City Hall and Killing Joke at Spring St. previously mentioned. Though Squeeze at City hall circa 79 was memorable ( got my mug shot in the paper) also Slf was a great night amongst the many bands that played Tower at one time.

Sex Pistols at some London music fest was good, at the other end of the spectrum saw Julie Felix at Adelphi last year and that was just awesome.
Seen loads and forgotten loads....next up pub band on Saturday followed by a Smiths tribute week after.

I was at the Squeeze City Hall gig.

Support was Wreckless Eric who was much better. (I love Wreckless Eric).

After the gig I got headbutted outside by some drunken **** who took offence to the way I looked.

Which caused a row between myself and my then girlfriend. (Who he punched in the face when she objected to him headbutting me).

And the next day we split up.

Happy days.

Seeing The Damned at YNot? Festival in July.

Off to see Biffy Clyro in Scarborough tomorrow night. Shame it's gonna tip it down.

Sounds like a Squeeze song, no more pulling muscles with Michelle?

To clarify: the way you looked at him or your apparel?

I was a punk. Red spiky hair, bondage trousers, ripped combat jacket and a Vivienne Westwood fascinator.

Ok. I'm lying about the fascinator.

It was a Katherine Hamnett.

What year are we in here?

Not sure if it was still Cool for Cats to be in that garb by 1980.

That was town back then.

Some may lambast you for not having taken a stand against the endemic random violence of that era, but not I.

I seem to recall there was a fearful rumpus at the Damned @ the City Hall on 1979.

Concert abandoned halfway through due to excessive disorder among the punters.

Ironic really.

At a certain point in the tumult the bouncers just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

Saw Kaiser Chiefs at Dalby Forest a few years ago. Absolutely pissed it down. They were pretty good in spite of them supporting TWS.
I was in a executive box on Saturday to see the Kaiser Chiefs at Elland Rd, who put on a decent show, but I found the Sherlocks to be the surprise act. Ex Leeds player Gary Kelly was next door to us and was great company. Mainly because he liked a drink as much as we did.........
