One of my biggest musical disappointments is that I have never seen him perform live. Shame, it would have been a treat back in the day.
First time Birmingham national exhibition centre prob 1980 end of the totally religious stuff, seem to recall Roger mcguinn , several times after with tom petty, 1984 at Wembley with santana etc, Sheffield several times, Glasgow when he was totally pissed up Manchester in late eighties in really small venue (2500), should have gone in approx 2010 ish but had a pulmonary embolism night before so that messed that one up. He has more money than I have had from him but in life you need a rock and he is it. Along with city of course!
