Supposed to be fighting Zaur Abdullaev in August, according to Eddie Hearn. Decent record, but only fought nobodies in Russia, so far.
Found a couple of his fights with Russian commentary. I'll stick them up and watch them later:

Boxing's becoming increasingly easy to access, thanks to Youtube and the like. Would've been impossible to get this sort of thing until recently.
Abdullaev is ranked 2nd in the WBC lightweight rankings and Haney is 4th - they will be fighting to face the winner of the 1st ranked Campbell and the best in the division in Lomachenko for the WBC lightweight championship.

The winner of all that will most likely be facing off against Teofimo Lopez who is currently ranked 3rd.

Forget the mess that the heavyweight division is in, this is what it should be like.

With the suggestion that Gervonta Davis is stepping up to lightweight, it looks like it'll be an interesting division with some real depth.

All this needs to happen soon - Haney is a growing lad and is having trouble meeting the lightweight limit.

Can see him moving up to light welterweight, dominating that sparce division and moving up to welterweight where the likes of Spence Jr., Crawford and Porter would be reaching their zenith - future is really bright for the kid.

Off to Leeds in a couple of weeks to see Warrington pick that ***** Galahad apart, guaranteed it’ll be infinitely better than the ‘main event’ ****e being spewed up in Vegas tonight.

Just watched the fight, piss poor from Joshua. I don’t care what he says, he went into that fight simply expecting to win. He put Ruiz down in the 3rd and then went in to finish him, but got tagged on the temple. The fight turned and he didn’t know what to do with the little fat bloke, who just covered up and caught him with swift combinations as Joshua stood with his guard down.

Embarrassing for the big lad and Hearn must be spewing.

Hearn bought into the hype, AJ is undefeatable. Ruiz played AJ perfectly, the nice tubby guy turning up with an outsider’s chance, shake hands, don’t make him hate me and it worked.

AJ will probably do him in a rematch because he simply has to, if he loses he’s finished. He should maybe even forget about them belts and go after Fury, if he wants to be the man again now he has to do something... Big smiles on Instagram won’t cut it anymore.

Heavyweight boxing innit. You take a big shot from a 19st bloke on the temple you’re going down, it doesn’t matter if he looks like a fat bin man.

The rematch over here was in the contract, so that happens now, and as you say he’s got to win, or he’s toast.

He’s lost his own invincibility now, that’s finished many a fighter, as self doubt creeps in. Others have come back stronger, we’ll see what AJ is made of now.

Yeah he’ll get the rematch I’m just wondering if he should forget it, he’ll get a shot at them belts again no matter what if he starts putting top lads away like Fury and Wilder.

The Mexican Chisora will be desperate for that rematch anyway, it’ll be a huge pay day for him and his family.

Well that certainly puts the casuals in their place! Hype train derailed.

One of the big boxing shocks.

I still say he's beaten nobody really apart from an old Klitchko.

Hopefully this will now open up the division and we get to see the big fights.
