I'm stunned that people rate him on here , must be all the bids we've turned down for our key player ....... never had one, says it all really .

Is that other than the offer from Stoke we turned down?

Injury prone but statistically one if our better players in his 10 years here. All managers except di canio have rated him too!

Most if not all of these managers are now unemployed, does that tell you anything probably not. Sam might have said nice things about him but come on what do you expect him to say in public. Cattermole has been a liability from day one and he still is. To suggest that Bali Mumba and our other young players can learn from Cattermole. Learn what exactly, now if you had said Leadbitter that might have made some sense.

Attitude. Application. Leadership. 3 of the most important aspects for any footballer. Ability without attitude and application is wasted. (Di canio is also unemployed and he didn’t want Cattermole or does that mean he’d still be here if Catts had gone?)

Sam rated him. He played 31 times in sams season. Out of 38 league games. Yeah he must’ve hated him!! He had him around the set up from the minute he joined. He played when either of our other central midfielders didn’t and even when they did. Didn’t try to shift him on and had him sane if the important parts. Jack Ross isn’t unemployed and he told Donald (according to Stewart Donald, although he’s probably playing up for the cameras too in your book) he wanted him to stay till the end of the season. As in he is important to us as he brings something to the table. All our managers have said that

The recent newspaper article where Catts explained that he shouldn't have played for 2 1/2 years because of a serious hip injury made me realise why he had a prolonged period out of form and lacking pace (not that he had much anyway!).

You can say what you want about him, but he's a born leader and has just finished his best scoring season ever for us.

If he stays with us next season, he should be given back the captain's armband back, because he is superior to Honeyman in every way.

....and this is said by someone who used to be one of his fiercest critics!
