This is true. I thought it ironic that I read DTLW's post, where he wrote, 'Come on Charlton', which I kind of supported. I popped along to a stream to see how things were progressing, and then saw Sunderland score immediately. I didn't expect things to go that way so quickly.
Good game. I do sometimes think better L1 teams are the best to watch. Some good skill, always a few mistakes and not scared to get a bit physical. The refs can be rather dodgy though.
I'm going to highlight a pinged 60 yard cross-field pass by a Sunderland player to a teammate, who killed it stone dead, but because he was inches from the touch line, the ball rolled over and he lost possession. In the PL, that pass and control would have been lauded. Just thought I'd mention it.
Wow what a finish, poor Mackems must be absolutely gutted and it was Charlton again, they must be sick of them!. Pleased for Charlton though.
