He could have done that by moving to Bournemouth ... joining the exodus to Liverpool just rubbed salt in the open wound for many Saints fans ...

If you had done your research properly you would've known that he moved FROM the Mini-Skates to the World famous Saints Academy as a 12 year old because he had ambitions....

Did he actually refuse to play? I'm not sure on the whole situation but just because he's a captain doesn't mean he shouldn't want to better his career. He seems like a decent enough guy so I'm sure everything was fabricated by journo's.
