"City argue that the investigatory chamber is mistaken and confused, and has not fully considered the club’s response to allegations that they misstated multimillion-pound sponsorships in their financial fair play (FFP) submissions more than five years ago."

Like with their response to their vile song, they made a statement that they were innocent and then got furious when UEFA didn't just accept it <laugh>

We just can't have a whole country (and a very rich one too) funding a club, cost no object. This will eventually kill the very competitiveness that makes the premiership so attractive to a global audience.

The distortion of the market is extreme. Now a club like Moshiri's Everton can spent £250m, just about scrape 8th place, and nothing is said because the second most expensive squad in Europe only got 6th too.

Betting websites that spend £120m on sponsoring PL clubs are getting as little as £50 a team back in contributions to GambleAware (which funds education research and treatment programmes)

Everton £50
Newcastle £50
Wolves £250
Fulham £1,000
Bournemouth £1,500
Burnley £1,500
Crystal Palace £1,500
Huddersfield £1,500
West Ham £132,800

Bit mean of them. (the money is donated by the betting companies not the club).

When you put it like this....

really we've all lost our minds. we are too close to see the utter madness.

not out player or problem but I just think this is interesting summation of the state of Scottish football.

Jon Flanagan was retrospectively given a red card for elbowing Scott Brown.

he has had it rescinded as he said a Celtic player elbowed Defoe and wasn't retrospectively punished.

madness.

so now elbows are legal in Scotland?

a defence of well I know it's wrong but you let others off officer wouldn't work on the streets if you were arrested for battering your girl flanno... you have personal experience of this.

So Utd in the news, approaching Fulham for sessengon and Newcastle for longstaff.

I fail to see how signing these two fix the issues at hand but it looks like they could but 10 or 12 if they are hunting this early.
