Kin'ell i can't think of two more undeserving sides to be in the play off finale <grr>
if it was us v WBA finale, even if we lost, could have accepted it more than yesterday's game, just totally pi**ed off atm.

So it's true not just a bad dream.
In my not so humble opinion failure to strengthen in January was the main problem. Seem to recall Bates not allowing Grayson to strengthen in January with similar results.
We needed and still do a striker who knows how to make a goal out of nothing.
The lads have played some good football this season but lack finishing power.
I am not keen on the loanee side of the game would prefer home grown talent to take us to the PL if that is what we want.
Will be interesting to see who stays for next season, if we lose the likes of Clark and Shacks then my initial charge June 2017 that Rad's could be using LU as a shop window to make money will be proved correct.
Chins up everyone it's not the end of the world or so Mrs Pennth keeps telling me.:emoticon-0148-yes:
But strengthen what?

Finishing power was indeed an issue, but look at the table & you'll see we scored a load of goals. The same table will also tell you how many we conceded, which IMO is an even bigger problem. Haven't analysed it yet, but suspect we lost most of them in the second half of the season.

Right on a positive note, what we need more than anything next season is a new goalkeeper, someone descent who will breath confidence in the defence, strong teams are usually built from the back up,agree with Whitejock above about our leaky defence being the possible source of the problem,as i said before they have lost all confidence in what's behind them, once that is sorted, christ do we need a leeder,Cooper not up to it or anything else i'm afraid & obviously a striker, capable of getting a goal out of nothing, come the next transfer window theirs bound to be some ex pl talent surplus to requirements, but we need to act fast,(Target them, sign them) to get the best, not like our previous poor slow record on transfers.
As were all used to saying (theirs always next season) we have the manager so let's make it count for something this time.Let's do it Leeds Utd :emoticon-0165-muscl

Numb last night, still numb this morning but glad I went and glad we had this season.

In back of my head I know it was great and best season we've had for so long and I know it was great by how **** I'm feeling today.

So onwards and upwards - is Bielsa a one season wonder - someone who can come in, shake things up, build confidence and respect and then if that doesn't make it over the line the confidence fails - there maybe an element to that but watching some of the football when we did actually play last night - there are some brilliant passes which are done because the players know the system and that system is good enough to beat more than enough teams to get out of this division.

Will be interested to see if Bielsa stays if and how he reflects on this season - whilst the season is ongoing he respects and protects his players - will he now be able to detachedly look at this season and say this is what we need, this is who we need in the same way he could a year ago when he came in (and will he decide that he might need a slightly bigger squad or will he decide that we were just unlucky with injuries this year?)

I hope he does stay and I hope he can look at this squad and decide what we need to improve and implement it because if this becomes a building season then hopefully next year we can take the next step up.

Jansson has earnt the right to go to a Prem club and if big money comes in could see that happening.

Hope Roofe and Phillips will give it one more go so hope we can fight that one off.

Still numb

Nin - we know what it's like to get kicked when you're feeling down - it's how you get back up and respond that matters.

We've been there and done that recently. Smashed out of the playoffs by Reading and mugged by Blackpool in the final at Wembley spring to mind.

Come on you Leed's guys - to reverse the old saying, you may be out but not down. We all go again next season. <ok>

I think you mean down, but not out

It doesn't get any easier though Eire, used to it or not,as someone else said it's the hope that kills, and we had that in abundance this season,so the fall this season felt like a fall from an even higher precipass than usual, and it bloody hurts :(
Then dont hope be smart be like wakey.
But if we recruit well this summer then maybe i might.

Could be worse, might have gone up, got spanked by everyone, and get relegated still owing for dead players. No one does scum like Cardiff ay. :emoticon-0140-rofl:

‘Everyone’ <doh>

Leave the Sala dispute to those in the know.

That FA Cup defeat and countless losses subsequently still gnaw away at Leeds supporters.

Sheff Utd flying the flag for Yorkshire next time instead of Huddersfield :emoticon-0148-yes:

LOL you mean nothing to us, not sure why ****ty little rivals of Newport are obsessed with us. And your underhand deals to screw the family of a dead ex player are a disgrace to football.
And no Taff's flying the flag in any top leagues, club or country, how it should be ;)
