I am going to hold my hands up now and say that I hate the play offs!

1998 --
1) I hated the build up
2) I hated watching the match
3) I hated the overtime
4) I hated the penalty shoot out until Grey's was saved
..
5) I loved Curbs suit
6) I loved the post match
7) I loved the trip home

…. most of the day I hated until we won... then I got pi55ed!

am I looking forward to Friday's match?... No I am not... we are Charlton always with the ability to feck it up... who remembers Swindon!!!! and possibly our best player at the time sending his spot kick into orbit!

Anyway I hope others enjoy the game... unless we are 3-0 up at half time I WON'T

<cheers>

My play off experience started with the memorable 3 game marathon against Leeds in 1987.

Two vivid memories from then -

1.The “home” leg at a near empty Selhurst ...until thousands of Leeds turned up around half time after their coaches had been delayed.

2. Skipping out of St Andrews after we beat them ....and straight into the welcoming arms of 20,000 very p1ssed off Yorkshiremen.

I reckon our support was outnumbered 25 to 1 that night.

Came very close to a beating after the game at St Andrews. Managed to come out of it unscathed. Pretty scary though.

I think I must have been standing alongside you for the potential visit to Casualty.

The thing that always stuck in my mind is how the police just let us (the 1000 Charlton fans) walk straight into it.

never been a fan of the play offs. It keeps things interesting for the mid table teams, byt deprives the third place finish of an automatic slot. I loved the Sunderland final (except all their goals) but they had finished third that season and got nothing much apart from a kick in the nuts on the last day.
yes it's exciting, but the fun only lasts for the winner.

Igor Vetokele will be out of Fridays game. If we get to Wembley Bowyer hopes he will be fit. Everyone else is fit. Josh Parker had cramp but is fit.

Our first signing when we get promoted should be from Leeds United.

Emma Louise Jones from Leeds TV :headbang:
