Man City may have broken the FFP rules, who would have thought it... saying cash donations from their oil country backers was income from advertising an airline.

What are the odds they dodge sanctions?

They have proven that they haven't broken the rules apparently - all allegations at the minute and they claim that they have submitted full evidence saying they have not broken rules and the person who investigated has allegedly broken a few laws in "finding" the evidence.

I can;t see how they can ban them from the Champions League - this is the threat but they have simply (well.. "simply") banned other clubs guilty of the apparent same offence from making transfers. Can't suddenly change the rules just because it's city!

no team will ever get banned, and why just the champions league ? they never talk about points deductions etc, poor Bolton there hard up and getting done like that. To me if you put say a billion quid in the club's bank, they can spend what they like but not go a pound over. although there is the player deal situation as well. Can Chelsea spend what they like before their delayed ban ?

It's the same in Rugby Union..Saracens pay why over the odds on their wage bill...by cooking the books as with Chitty.. yet money talks and they get away with it

I'm not sure that they are guilty, tbh. They had a net spend of about minus 10 million, this season. They seem very confident that they've done nothing wrong.

Saracens have an excellent academy and a large proportion of their squad are homegrown. They also have a lot of England players which means they get incentives from the RFU which allows them to spend £2million over the Premiership salary cap. They are also allowed two marquee players outside of the salary cap. It's nothing like the Man City situation.

This thread was given a nudge by the President of La Liga saying PSG and Chitty are cheating and should be penalised heavily?
