Sky says 104 but what’s 16m to friends. And yup every spanish contract has to have release clause. Seems quite low for griezman given they normally have a release of about 700m
Contract was signed last summer? Roughly the same time it was talked about him going to Barca originally. Should think he demanded it low for precisely this situation, A Madrid go along with it cause they want to keep him for another season at least and getting 100m+ is better than him leaving for nothing. Which I believe would have happened this summer anyway.

Already signed de jong for 60m I think so they’d have to sell a few more players if they wanted 3 big signings.
Apparently they're selling everyone apart from Messi after the defeat to us<laugh> I genuinely don't think a cb is big on klopps priority list right now.
But if we did sign him a backline of vvd. Gomez, matip and de legit don't sound bad for the next few years minimum.

Would allow us to sell lovren (like anyone would take him) <doh>

Its Coutinho, problem is that they want nearly what they paid for him despite him being a failure and the only club interested aren't allowed to buy him.

It's complete [HASHTAG]#delusion[/HASHTAG] like Man Utd wanting to make a profit on Pogba

At least have your manager hide his contempt for the player a bit

Completely different from company finances mate, FFP is about sustainable outlay not assets, depreciation or anything else. In other words nothing to do with the value of the business but more to do with cash flow. Can you afford £100m over the next 3 years and will you still be able to meet the wage bill, vat, running costs of the ground etc out of the cash expected in.
Bolton are probably worth more than their debts but have no cash to pay them, they might have spread the "value" of their latest additions over several new contracts but still had to pay for them within an allotted time (usually 3 years but sometimes cash on delivery).

You’ll have to excuse my ignorance here but for me that would be the same as in business. It’s just a P&L isn’t it? The Depreciation would fall under Cost of goods sold along with all other operational costs. If you still make a profit after all sales/marketing costs and administration costs are removed then wayhay....if not, then you have to ensure that you don’t lose money over a 3 year period.

I accept that I might be totally wrong! <laugh>

Liverpool transfer news: Timo Werner could join Reds over Bayern Munich, PSG and Borussia Dortmund, claims RB Leipzig’s Oliver Mintzlaff
“The situation is still the same. Timo Werner would rather not sign an extension,” he told Sky, cited by BuliNews.

“But that could change.

“I don’t think it’s completely out of the question that he could extend his deal. We haven’t talked to Bayern Munich about Timo Werner yet.

“Maybe he doesn’t even want to go to Munich. Maybe he would rather join Tuchel in Paris, Klopp at Liverpool or Favre at Dortmund.”

let me just plug this one into my translation algorithm....

oh yes here we go... red bull desperate for a bidding war here, everyone knows he wants bayern but a nice bid from someone and we can squeeze a few more.million out of bayern in the end

Wages do count.

But really....

If people

a) don't like the weather
b) want 350k per week no matter what

they fail the first two tests.

Theres a lot of players like this but you need the real hunger to succeed

Quite a few, including him, linked to Bayern. They can’t buy all of them so there’s a chance....

They already spent a crap load on some left back and will likely sign one of Werner/Brandt.

The quoted release clause for Brandt might make him more attractive to us, but I am sure Klopp would prefer a Werner type who can play across the front

brandt attitude is in question... who knows what will happen but if klopp picks them they are 99% successful

With Alison and VVD being the exceptions, we don't look to sign already established superstars, we sign players with the aim of making them superstars.
