Post-race Vettel asked the stewards to look into Alonso's defending when Vettel passed him. Ok So Vettel was pushed slightly onto the grass but he still made the pass, it was hard defending by Alonso but it was not like Schumacher forcing Hamilton onto the grass by chopping across him. I thought it was just hard but fair by Alonso, maybe a little too hard but Alonso apologised afterwards and Vettel still got passed and won the race so what is the point of trying to get Alonso penalised? Alonso is not a threat to him in the WDC.

Vettel also went on about it in the post-race interviews quite a lot and seemed a bit narked about it, is he getting a bit arrogant that drivers should not be pushing him hard? Or was he just taken a by surprise by close, hard racing? Either way I do not see the point in him complaining to the stewards about it and trying to get them involved, it was just racing.

I guess Alonso can just say that he couldn't have taken a tighter line at the speed, and lifting off would probably cause a bit of understeer and make the situation worse.

Alonso didn't seem to push him onto the grass on purpose, Vettel just went for an ever decreasing gap and bravely kept his foot in it and made it.

    What a moaning little bitch!

He won the race and should be satisfied with his own performance. You'd think he would be celebrating his victory post-race, not complaining about a firm defensive manouvre where Vettel managed to overtake anyway.

Vettel talked to the stewards? Source? Never heard anything of that. Sounds to me like a false information.
Plus a lot of badmouthing based on that false info.

No it is not another " It wasn't as bad as Schumacher's move" thread, it is a "Vettel needlessly moaning and potentially trying to get a competitor pointlessly penalised after a race" thread.

Alonso's apologies weren't enough because post-race Vettel officially asked the stewards to look into the incident.
    ----

How can this sentence be source for your false accusations?

Maybe he was just seeking clarification for future similar moves? As long there isnt further, deeper info on what he was asking for why do you put more into it?

Alonso shouldn't be worried about any of this. Everyone knows that Alonso is exempt from all FIA regulations due to which car he drives.

Fair racing from Alonso, brave overtake from Vettel. Why does he feel the need to talk to the stewards. Hamilton didn't when Schumacher also forced him onto the grass, which some think was worse.

Vettel moans about Alonso's move and won the race, yet Hamilton says 'that's racing' with the Schumacher moves which cost him a podium (maybe a win), we know who the real racer is...haha im joking btw! Though a bit surprised with Vettel because he never seems to get rattled, ever.

Yeah, I agree. Also, before Spa, he was caught on camera really having a go at the guy from Pirelli, which I thought showed an unpleasant side; it was pretty aggressive stuff, especially as Red Bull's tyre blistering was of their own making.

So yeah, moaning little bitch two races in a row :)
