    Liverpool's famous five
Liverpool are being tipped to make five signings this summer.
Timo Werner (RB Leipzig), Paulo Dybala (Juventus), Maxi Gomez (Celta Vigo), David Neres (Ajax) and Houssem Aouar are the favourites to come through the Anfield arrivals door, according to bookies.
Dybala has also been persistently linked with Manchester United in recent weeks.

Knowing our transfer dealings and how much we dish out to agents, we already have our business done.

And none of those are in our plans for sure.

Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, as the forward is eyeing a move to Bayern Munich.
Werner reportedly only sees himself joining Bayern Munich this summer, if he is to leave Leipzig ahead of next season.
Barcelona are reportedly concerned Liverpool may try and hijack their deal to sign Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt this summer. De Ligt, 19, is thought to be on the verge of a transfer switch to Barcelona after Ajax were dumped out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion by Tottenham. The Dutchman has risen to prominence this season, as Ajax reached the Champions League semi-finals by knocking out Real Madrid and Juventus. Mundo Deportivo claim a delegation from Barcelona flew to the Netherlands last week to determine De Ligt’s summer plans, with the player keen to link up with his Ajax team-mate Frenkie de Jong in Spain.

We cannot afford to sit on our hands this summer. This is a big opportunity to push on and become stronger.

3-4 quality additions to the squad needed.

    I can't see us not.

Sturridge and Moreno definitely off, so that two squad positions needing replacements. Then those who might leave, Lovren (fingers crossed)

And of course there is the fact we wanted more in the summer, but had to prioritise.

I would of course like to see Wilson, Woodburn and Brewster being involved next season.

Klopp seems to rate Brewster very highly.
Woodburn just hasn't pushed on and Wilson looks awfully average at Derby.

Sturridge should free up significant wages. Moreno was never cover, but signifies that he will likely be replaced when he goes.

champions league final is not something to sign a major player before. can upset a player or two easily.

I reckon we won't sign anything til after. there won't be a lot of time before preseason then

Have to strengthen. Assuming we don’t lose anyone we don’t want to, then Sturridge moreno will def be off. Lallana prob go if we get w decent offer. Milner possibly as well. Grujic probably won’t get much game time and will go if offer is right.

Full back is the obvious area. We have 2 full backs at the moment and both are first choice so although don’t like buying for the squad, having a versatile full back to come in and cover is a must. TAA is still young remember so will be in and out and we’ve been lucky that Robbo has avoided injury.

Klopp has changes things by not having that creative midfielder by relying on full backs but it would be nice to have that extra creativity. Maybe Keita and ox will provide but by they are more a running with the ball type rather than a creative one touch link play type.

Being super fussy, another player along front line who can play anywhere and maybe a CM that can dictate play. Someone like gundogan, Alonso, modric, Kroos. Who in those big games can slow down and speed up the tempo when required

and if mig goes, we may need. A back up keeper

I kept saying a versatile attacker is needed but I suppose a attacker that can only play one position wouldn't be too bad considering Mane, Salah and Bobby have already shown they're capable of playing various roles.

Definitely prefer someone versatile, especially as it keeps it free flowing on the pitch too, but not essential.

So if reports are to be believed (yes, I know <doh>), we have picked up nearly £150m from the premier league and nearly £100m from the champions league. That’s a sh*t load of wedge.

How much did FSG pay for us <laugh>

I can’t see much income from sales but we will be freeing up some big salaries which should allow us to buy decent quality for the 2 or 3 positions that Klopp wants to strengthen.

I can't see it before cl final.

    we will try I'm sure.

really.... it's entirely down to klopp now. we've all debated what we need for a long time. it's not going to change now.

Am intrigued as to where JK thinks we need strengthening as much as anything else. Nobody can question Klopp’s purchases. Has there actually been a bad one? Ok Karius....but that was a GK and he’s put that right properly.

Fab is looking top drawer now after a slow start.

Keita began to look very good before his injury - he does seem to get injured a lot

Mane, Salah, VvD, Alison, Robbo enough said.

Even Grujic is doing well in Germany.

I think we all trust Klopp to bring in the right players.

This time last year we all wanted a new keeper and a specialist defensive midfielder and that's exactly what we got.

So what is priority this summer?

LB- someone young willing to play back up? Maybe a free?
    Creative Mid?
    Striker?

Also sign Milner to a an extension.

So we need about 3 players. LB likely to cheapish as its a backup option. Can splash the cash on getting those other positions sorted.

    Striker/Wide forward for cover/rotation
    Attacking mid/flair player

The cover at full backs needs sorting then the AM thing and proper competition for the front 3.
