Can someone explain why there are not numerous pages of criticism aimed at Jack Stephens or the dodgy keeper i.e. Fraser for the abject performance. Blue writing! Does Gunn get a free pass?

It was stupid from Gunn. It was a poor pass back from Bertrand.

If that was Stephens & Forster, the site probably would've crashed with the criticism.

I would have thought you might be more annoyed that SFC for the second season in succession failed to reach 40 points, than pleased that LFC missed out. SFC have managed to accumulate 77 points over the course of 2 seasons, which is 20 short of LFC´s total over the course of this season. Not something to gloat about is it? The points total is not good enough for one of the most experienced sides in the bottom half of the PL bar West Ham and Everton. Next season the target needs to be 50, and if it is not reached then questions need to be asked.
You’ll never get it Ides. Never.

Well spotted! I hadn't noticed that. If that had been Fraser, I suspect the forum would have blown itself to smithereens.

Vin
As in previous seasons certain players cannot win. If they make a mistake ,they are crucified. If they play out of their skin, they are only paying back for their previous errors. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Just surprised Yoshida and Vesters didn't get it in the neck. The whole squad are below average so they are all culpable for an awful season again! Yet again we are saved by 3 teams that we could only beat twice out of six chances. We won't be lucky a third time.
Rant over. Top ten next season. In yours and my dreams.

Saints fans always, always have a player who is the scapegoat.

We lambasted Forster untill his confidence was so fragile he needed to be dropped for his own good.
We lambasted Redmond untill his confidence was so fragile he needed to be dropped for his own good.
The recent target has been Stephens - heard a couple of boo's heading his way today.

All players who have been solid players, but had huge dips in confidence. Those are the 3 that stand out, but you also look at players like Long & Yoshida who have been the target of vocal criticism in the past.

Fair comment and it was a howler from Gunn in particular, but he has been rock solid since he came into the team if he starts making those kind of mistakes in every match then the fans will soon lose patience i'm sure.

"Please can I have your shirt?" signs really, really need to be stopped. Utter, utter cringe.
