City made us challenge them. We took it up and got 97 points. Congratulations to them is all I can say. No need complaining about financial doping as we have been the beneficiary of these petro dollars. Qatars money allowed us to buy VVD and Alisson while Sterling funded Firmino.

What we now know, is we can challenge them by being dilligent in our transfer dealings, and building incrementally. Yes City will buy but so will we. The thing is we can improve massively they can only retain consistency.

It has been a brilliant season and we have played some fantastic football at times. A slightly better squad may have got us over the line, but still contenders in the PL to the last game and a CL final, we all would have taken that at the start of the season. If you are not happy with how we have performed then support Everton for a season and know some real pain and frustration.

I don't see any of our main players leaving. Challenged for the league getting a record 97pts, CL final for second season running and continuous improvements to suggest we're only going to get better.
Hope so
And tbf Klopp has just said as much :)

Fair play to Liverpool for the season they've had and the manner in which they've played their football throughout.

Taking nothing away from your team, but some of the ridiculous comments on here about City not playing within the rules or buying the title are just childish and embarrassing tbph. Have some humility and good grace to give them credit for what they've achieved.

They didn't just cruise to a title, they were under immense pressure all the way and showed quality and exceptional mental strength to answer every question asked of them. Not just to win the title but to retain it. No concept on here how hard that is. Fcking hell, understand football ffs.

Wow Liverpool fans complaining city bought the premier league...shock.

Just remind me who illegally tapped up Van Djik when he was at Saints?

Karma.
wtf does that have to do with buying the league you dick?

that is to do with taping a player up (saints never done it then?!!!) not buying who you want when you want!!

They're just a bit of a machine, churning out points week after week. 100 points, now 98, I fully expect them to do the same next year. Its very difficult to even compete with them

As I said last season on the Spurs board, hate the Sugga Daddy FC money
that allows that squad to be bought, but respect the manner in which that squad
have performed for the past two PL seasons.

Hard but not as hard as being made out. First time they've retained a title. I think Livpl will improve. Sadly not many others that can compete as things stand.

The question really isn't about how much more City will improve, but whether Livpl have the funds to build enough depth in squad to do it. And the answer to that is yes you do. That's all you need to focus on and I imagine is what Klopp is thinking about. After all, it's the 11 on the pitch that count on any given day.

Of course it's between the devil and the deep blue see for me <laugh> but that's just an honest opinion.

So as of now they've not been found to have broken PL rules then?
Being honest i dont want the ffp stuff
The leagues have always been on an uneven field of the haves and the have nots
If they do try to combat it, it may make things even throughout the leagues but I seriously doubt it money always has and always will talk.
Teams have to find away around it
We came close this year
Just missed out, been a great season in the league :)

Settle down. Stop acting like your club are squeaky clean when you are not. Show me one example of saints taping a player up?
