He’s a very good player but not sure how he’d fit in at as big a club as Spurs. Villa have changed the formation to try and get the best out of him often at the expense of the team though nothing forgives continuing to roll out Whelan.

Don’t think he’s at his best in an Eriksen type role. He’s more like Alli IMO. No doubt Poch would probably turn him into something even better.

I'd like to see him as a CM if he joined us. He played there under Bruce for a lot of last season and at times this season, I like how he carries the ball forward and looks to make things happen. Him supplying the likes of Son/ Moura/ Dele/ Eriksen (if still here) could work really well in my eyes. And like you say, Poch could probably take him up a level as well.

This is the problem defending the way West Brom do, you've got to hold that concentration and shape for 90 minutes.
