This season's Europa league has been so poor in comparison to previous years.

I actually like the EL. But the 2 teams in the final have been utter **** all season in the PL. All it shows is how poor 3-5th is around the European leagues.

The four European finalists this season are 2-5 in the Premier League and 1st was knocked out by one of those remaining.
Man Utd were only knocked out by the team that comfortably won La Liga. Maybe the Premier League's just bloody hard right now?

Burnley went out nine months ago, but they've struggled domestically, too.

And yet the team you're playing in the final are sandwiched between the two EL finalists. So it can't be that bad can it ?

I'd be furious if I was a supporter of one of the four particpating clubs, this is one reason I'm glad to avoid Premier League and European Football like the plague! I know the games will be televised but this is just not acceptable for fans that watch their clubs on a regular basis. Even music events have managed in some cases to bring these rip offs under control and yet with UEFA it's like a licence to print money.

I don't know what the answer is to the ground situation, it just seemes crazy when supporters from the same nation have to travel a couple of thousand miles to watch the final. I know it's all about the big event that takes a lot of planning in advance, planning that seems not existent when it comes to ticket sales.

The stadium in Baku, as well as being in another ****ing dimension, is 68,700 capacity and yet Arsenal and Chelsea have been allocated 6000 each ffs <doh>

6000 tickets each for a Europa League final is a fcking joke tbh.

What is that, like a League 1 attendance, Spanish 2nd division? Pathetic.

Or they were expecting a French, Dutch side to make the final.

"offering more tickets to fans of the participating teams, without any guarantee that they would be able to arrange suitable travel to reach Baku, was therefore not a responsible option"

So why ****ing hold it there in the first place ? <doh>

The CL final isn't much better either. Liverpool and Spurs get around 16.5k each in a 68k stadium. Not sure what UEFA's excuse is there ?

Azerbaijan is an up-and-coming country, it's pretty ****ing wealthy, this is advertising the country, same reason it's in F1.

Are you going to hop over to Madrid NSIS?

The 3 times I've been to Madrid, I've often ended up in one of those late night restaurants that open out onto the pavement, watching a match on the screen having a nice meal. Very enjoyable because I've always found the locals are there to catch a game as well and tend to chat to you about the players and the clubs etc. Nice atmosphere tbh.

Might do mate. Might just watch it at home. I’d never get a hotel room and I’d have to then drive back in the early hours.

I’d love to go to the game but I ain’t the rip-off prices I’m seeing.

If Chelsea fans start walking now they can make it about 2weeks after the game <laugh>
