Igor allegedly told fans at the POTY dinner that he is out for 10-12 weeks, in which case we have seen the last of him in a Charlton shirt.
Good riddance. A couple of good games at the tail end of this season doesn't make him a hero to me. Where has he been for the last three years?
Well it's academic now, he is out. The rest of the current squad should have enough to blow Doncaster away - I don't think fans going to these play-off semis have much to worry about. It's Wembley that will offer the real challenge.
I wish people wouldn't post stuff like this Doncaster are quite capable of beating us on their ground and ours.
OK, that was a bit clumsy of me. I accept almost everybody is a bit on edge at the moment, a little worried at the back of their minds that something might go wrong. I've become very prone to typing the wrong thing lately. Me and my big keyboard I'll try not to increase tension levels any further for the next few weeks.
Lardi, Donny beat us 2-0 at their place in the FA Cup in December... but I think we are better than we were in December... didn't we lose 4 games in December?
One of the rare pieces of sad news on Sunday came pre kick off with Igor not even being fit enough to get on the bench. He let the cat out of the bag at the POTY that he was out for 10-12 weeks and therein lies the problem - he never gets short term, simple injuries. Good player though he once was, he’s been a passenger for over two years now, and has done nothing to justify a new deal on the sort of money he is said to be on. He couldn’t survive the competitiveness and rigour of the Championship. The smokescreen over his injury - including the gym photo - wasn’t the club or player’s finest hour - although understandable in the circumstances.
I think we have to keep paying his medical bills until this injury clears up but he should be off the payroll 1 June or 30 June can't remember.
