Now now Mr PGF, My post upon your relegation was merely but a tongue in cheek playful prod and I'm somewhat taken aback that it caused you such clear mental distress. It genuinely pains me if my obviously thoughtless joke hurt you to such a degree and so for that I apologise.
I would however like to take umbrage with you on some of your most recent response.
Firstly, I really, genuinely do not dream of 7 years in the Premier League. As I try to point out to many people, in my opinion, the formation of the Premier League was actually one of the worst things to happen to football in the UK. It actually started the beginning of what will undoubtedly be the end of the game as we know it in the country.
Unless your club is owned by some ultra wealthy person or business and you are happy buying success then the Premier League is no place to want to be. For me personally, finishing 17th isn't success and having to endure that year in year out isn't my idea of fun.
You are indeed correct when you say Swansea had plaudits for their football etc. and I'll even say that they were, for a fleeting time the model of a well run club. However, your 7 glorious years have in the medium term done nothing but harm to your club again (not too dissimilar to your last top flight days).
For me, my clubs security and stability will always take precedence over short term glory. I'd never want to see my team face administration or bankruptcy, something I know you Swans are all too familiar with and must have feared may even repeat itself given your inability to offload big earners who are now nothing but a drain on valuable resources?
May I also point out that football did actually exist before 1992 when the Premier League came to be formed? I am aware you may not be old enough to remember such a time, maybe you should ask your Dad or your Grandad (should you know who they are). I point this out as you may be surprised to learn that Cardiff have actually had more top flight seasons than Swansea but again, you young uns forget about those days as you've been brainwashed into believing that anything pre-premier league or that isn't Premier League counts for nought, which is a shame and you have my pity.
Lastly, your reference to our style of play is interesting for two reasons. Firstly, I genuinely believe there is no right or wrong way to play the game. For me personally, lots of backwards and sideways passing and possession for possessions sake is dull as dishwater, no matter whether it's done by Man City, Barcelona or a poor imitation of them by clubs like Swansea. No, for me, a team like Leicester are just asome, if not more exciting to watch as they usually create more chances overall in a game.
The second reason it's interesting is because it leads me to assume you've watched us play on many, many occasions this season, so perhaps you are after all a closet Bluebird?
If you've not watched us play on a regular basis then I can only assume you are just acting like a dimwitted sheep and going with the lazy option and just repeating what other ill informed people have said...
As much as you may think I'm hurt by Cardiff's relegation, I'm sorry to say I'm not.
Alas I've rambled long enough, the sunshine on my balcony awaits me.
Cheerio matey
