And? So has Asamoah Gyan- 3 times last year!
They haven't had any telling performances for their countries.
I only brought it up because you are so certain that Rooney will finish top goalscorer after 4 games.

What's Messi or C.Ronaldo done at the World Cup?
Regarding Adebayor, I always rated him when he was at Arsenal, and I could never understand why the Gooners got on his back and slated him. I know that his temperament has been questioned, and there will be many Gooners waiting for him to go missing in games, but I think that it's all down to how he's managed; and I strongly believe that Harry will get more out of him that either Wenger or Mancini ever could.
I really do think he will be up there pushing for the Golden Boot, this season.
Who are his critics? I haven't heard anyone say he shouldn't have gone to you.
Modric - Looks like at least for now he's going to get his head down and work for the team, not his greatest of games but showed glimpses as to why the top teams are sniffing around.
Top player that hasn't scored at a World Cup![]()
For a player no tabloid can mention without prefixing his name with "want-away", he didn't seem to be irritated that he was playing for us. Quite the opposite, in fact, and had a pretty good game.
Parker seems to be getting the plaudits, which I find odd. Yes, he had a good game, but at the end of the day it's hard not to think he's a placeholder for Sandro more than a first teamer.
Lets face it Shrek or not (and to be fair we made do with Donkey up front nearly every week last season) we would all have him at our club in a heartbeat.
Nope. I wouldn't have him. I don't care how good he is on the day. Basically you've just got to make a choice - do you take anything that favours your team (nasty pieces of work, divers, cheaters etc) and say that providing its for my club its OK, or do you say that if I dislike something in a player when he plays for someone else then I do not approve of it and can retain the moral high ground. Of course there's a lot of grey areas here, but Spurs *tend* to play footie in the right way and that's really important to me. More important than simply results in fact.
What's your issue with Rooney. Can be dirty so and so at times, but is a class player. Not many players are Saints.
Apart from Giovani. He's 2! :-D
