Well done Liverpool, for winning the CL. Eh...sorry?...oh, I see. Okay, well done for beating Barca in the semi-final, right...

None of this will matter when the real fairy story comes true, and Ajax’s home grown heroes (plus Tadic and Blind) lift the trophy in Madrid. Indeed, Weasal Van Snake’s utter devestation will be all the sweeter.

Only one thing is certain...

An ex-Southampton player is going to be a CL winner <laugh>

People think if he doesn't win a trophy this season he'll be under pressure. What a load of bollocks, the change in Liverpool since he arrived is phenomenal.

I wouldn't swap him for any other manager in the world, I genuinely think he's the best. He doesn't just take over the best clubs...he builds teams, Dortmund and now us. The guy is unbelievably good.

For me the measure (tribal bollocks aside) is whether, as a neutral, you find yourself looking forward to watching a particular team play ... currently I feel that way towards both 'Pool and Citeh ... going back I felt that way towards Tommy Doc's United, Clough's Forest (through gritted teeth) Bobby Robson's Ipswich, Keegan's Newcastle .. particular Pool and United teams during their respective periods of dominance (nott all)and Wennger's Arsenal when Henry and Pires were bossing it ...

Clough and Robson would be my top two managers, without hesitation.
