What you talking about actually mukka you are not far wrong we were dire very very poor but still level with your lot see you next season
We haven't been in the 3rd tier for 62 years so it will be a new experience for the majority of us Townies that's for sure! Just to rub salt into the wounds the sister shaggers have gone up as champions! They will get torn a new one next season if they play as open as they do! You always seem to play better against the better sides and you should have nothing to worry about. I'm going for a Leeds WBA final.
Derby had 3 tough games I said if they get in the playoffs they will win them because of their momentum nothing has changed and they have a bye in the next round
I watched it too WBA had nothing to play for or lose, so you cant read to much into it but its not about them it depends what Leeds team turns up
Yes you're right, we need to sort the defence, like it was early season. We are the best team in the play offs if we play.
Up till Saiz left, we had the best attacking mids combo in league. Once you take one out, the applecart has been upset. We not only upset the applecart, we tipped it over when we kept playing players like Harrison. Harrison is not a Bielsa team player, even though Bielsa keeps picking him, but who else is there. Harrison will never play for Man City, he'll never be good enough for the present team. He's a greedy individual player who plays for himself, he brings attacks to a halt and his crossing / corners are nothing to write home to Aunty Ethel about. Bamford is not a Bielsa team player. Bamford is too slow, lazy and lackadaisical. Bamford is another Wood, if you don't put the ball on his foot 90% of time he's lost, he becomes a nomad and can't really get into game. Roberts is not a Saiz replacement. He had, what I consider to be a coming of age game, in which he made Bamford look good, but not much since. Phillips is not attack minded like Forshaw, he plays safe and passes sideways / backwards more than forwards, same in U23's. He must have good looking passing stats. Phillips, like Ayling goes missing in defence and doesn't cover. Phillips got YEP Leeds player of year, how, over Pablo? he didn't even make the Team of Year, but Pablo, Jansson and Cooper did........does that actually make sense? Ayling is a weak link, in that he goes too far forward, but has a problem getting back, which leaves our defensive line thin, weaker and open; Berardi doesn't, that's why Berardi is a better defender either side imo. Ayling has been responsible / involved in quite a few conceded goals. Teams have been scoring / beating us cos of the quick breaks against an open defence. First half of season with Alioski, Klich, Saiz and Pablo, and we were bouncing along. Those little defence breaking passes from Pablo, Saiz, Klich and Alioski were tearing defences apart, and the goals were coming thick and fast. Alioski's crosses / corners were causing defences big problems. Then we started to slowly lose Siaz, and started getting injury problems, creating a very upset applecart. Second half of season saw us have more changes than a womens wardrobe. I said after first half of season that some teams would work us out, and some teams did. Bielsa never combated for teams being able to work us out, he never saw it, kept playing same way all time. Bielsa is a great coach, but not a successful coach as he's never been over last hurdle, hopefully, he pulls it off during playoffs, but he's got to open his eyes more.
