I know none of you care and that’s fair enough but it was extraordinary.

Congratulations mate, hope they win their final.

Better than the non league news coming out of Ebbsfleet and Gateshead also I hear, similar situation to Bolton with players not getting paid. Maybe it's time to bring in a maximum wage in non league football, so clubs have a fixed and equal outgoing on wages it's destroying the little clubs. Ebbsfleet had big ideas they even built on around Universal and that fell flat on it's face!

It seems to be very difficult to regulate as there are teams like Torquay in the NLS who are full time professional clubs competing with Concord Rangers who were barred from playing in the play offs because their ground isn’t up to NL standard and they’re skint. Then in the NL you have Salford funded by the Class of 92 competing against Gateshead who might volunteer to be relegated. A moderately rich person can fund a non league team up to a point and then very quickly ruin them by pulling the plug.

I think the ownerships of clubs needs to be closely looked at and i don't know how, but some form of security needs to be placed to protect the clubs. I remember before the changes in league structures, clubs used to be refused entry to League Two (old Division 4) on a regular basis, and due to ground not being up to standard. Trouble is now the money men have come in, Fleet a prime example, big new stand this season, now not paying their players. Financially it not only has an impact on the club, but the whole area, as jobs are promised on the back of these pie in the sky ideas. Jobs in construction, caterering, hotels, entertainment the list is endless, not forgetting the planning permissions, for then to nothing to materalise. Did I ever think Universal Studios were going to come in, NO, but try telling that to the believers in fairies in Gravesham.

Lovely unnecessary Liverpool segue at the end of MOTD. The romance continues.

Didn't see it, but assume its them milking it and trying to build it all up even more. City will win tomorrow and then they will try to build it all up again for the final game. I guess as there is nothing else to decide in the league it makes sense, but pointless in reality

You're going overdrive on the jinxing JK. I've seen you posting the same thing on about half a dozen threads fgs on both boards <laugh>

If they win tomorrow it's done, but I can see Leicester getting goals, and they have fans like Fosse so nuff said.

    Decided that after:
    1. 2006 losing out to the Arse for top 4 cos of food poisoning
    2. 2012 losing out to arse on top 3 and then losing CL footy cos Chelsea won it
    3. 2013 losing out top 4 to the arse cos the West Brom keep threw the ball in to his own net 3 times
I am not confident that the footballing God's won't find a new ****y way to **** us over and look after the bastard love child club so I have placed a tenner on bet 365 for the goons to get top 4 at 200-1.

That'll be almost 7 weeks take home pay if we **** it it up or I wasted a tenner but give myself a chilled week knowing that we definitely have top 4 or 2 grand by next Sunday at 6pm!

They’re have to be an 8 goal swing on the last day mate, with us spooning you lot at home and Arsenal hammering Burnley away. Ain’t happening. Albeit I’d love to see you 2 bags better off <ok>

Arsenal is the gift that keeps on giving.

Pixie is the poor bastard who volunteers to do the gift-wrapping every season.

Logically I know that...but we are spurs!
Betting a tenner was like paying for peace of mind ... well worth it <laugh>

  16. Bruv, imagine how gutted Pixie must feel today, in the cold sober light of the morning!

The beautiful thing is, fate strung the poor bastard along to the bitter end. The suffering has been almost unbearable for him.

Why, there's still a remote chance that Arsenal could finish above us !

What more proof does anybody need that God is a Yid?

Yeah that ain't happening. We've had plenty of opportunities to finish above spurs and we ****ed them all up.

Still got a chance to make a success of this season though, so we need to make sure we don't get beat at Valencia on thursday.

My teen beast told me on Saturday night that she could see both United and Arsenal dropping points.
I reasoned with her as best I could with the powerful logic at my disposal..

"But it's Hudders ****ing field, the 2nd worst top division in my 52 years on the planet! And Brighton who are shockingly bad and even lost at home to bloody Cardiff!"

We spent Sunday in Brighton with the uni kid and met her boyfriend for the first time...we had one rule growing up...do not fall in love with a gooner....yep....you've guessed the punchline.

When united took the lead I gave her the all knowing father look. When I told her the result she didn't gloat but gave a smirk.

When Arsenal took the lead gooner boy looked happy as he glanced at his phone but said nothing. I gave the teen beast a knowing fatherly look.

At the final result the three of us said nothing but smiled so not to destroy gooner boy on the first time of meeting us.

When we dropped him of the three of us were jubilant.

On the way home the teen beast went right into her I told you so speech and to be fair to her she rubbed my all knowing fatherliness right in the **** <laugh>

I then do as I do and started imaging the hurt and pain that could come next Sunday and she almost beat me!

So I placed my tenner bet at 200/1 On arsenal to come 4th as my insurance policy.

And now I am calmly imagining what i will spend my winnings on.
