Anyone seen the pic comparison of where the foul was commuted and where Messi took the free kick from? Foul was about 7 yards further back.

Still probably would have scored the annoying little genius though

Not necessarily, they picked you off like little boys once they got the first. They stepped up a gear, which was a gear you cant reach.

Sure you wasted chances, but there really was no more cheating than you have done all season and gained points, in fact, Barca didnt cheat once, not did the ref.
Did I mention cheating? Scoring points in a game I'm not playing gets you nowhere.
Barcelona are one of the best sides in the world, with possibly the best player in the game's history and a collection of high calibre players throughout.
We matched them in terms of possession, craft and creation of chances - the difference was that our finishing was poor and theirs wasn't.
If we had have been up against Uddersfeeled we might even have won.... umm, let's see - 5-0 or something.
Unthinkable though that may seem.

You’re correct you didn’t do bad choice of word on my part :emoticon-0148-yes:

I was more calling out bad fouls and stuff you said, and the game from my point was pretty well officiated, no red cards for me.

Don't think we were too concerned considering it was 35yrd out still...

I don't think I said anything like that at all.
I thought the ref did ok. I think he made a mistake in not consulting VAR when Mané went over in the area - I think that was a strong shout and definitely worth looking at, and the game would have been very different it it had been given.
The only thing I said against Barca players was that they were constantly nagging the ref over decisions and asking for cards to be given.
They always do that, and I thought he was quite strong in resisting them.

Former Manchester United managerJose Mourinhohailed Lionel Messi as 'the God of Football' following Barcelona's 3-0 victory over Liverpool.

Messi struck twice in the second-half of theChampions Leaguesemi-final first leg at Camp Nou as Barca beat Liverpool by the same scoreline they defeatedUnitedin the quarter-final second leg.

Although Mourinho antagonised Barca as Internazionale and Real Madrid coach, he spent four years at the club working with the late Sir Bobby Robson andLouis van Gaaland his son, Jose Jr., is an avid Barcelona fan who is particularly reverential towards Messi.

Mourinho commended Liverpool for their bravery in Barcelona, where Sadio Mane lofted an excellent chance over the crossbar at 1-0 and Roberto Firmino had an effort cleared off the line before Mohamed Salah struck the post. Liverpool remarkably had more possession than Barca but could also have lost by a greater margin.

"Liverpool was brave in the approach,"Mourinho told Russia Today."I don't think in the past 20 years many teams in the Champions League beat Barcelona in ball possession in the Champions League.
