Thank you Mr. Hasenhuttl. The turn around since he came in is absolutely unbelievable. We were doomed, and he has improved every single player. The last few years have been a chore, but with a few new signings, hopefully we can have a season of fun football. COYR
He’s class. I trust him to get a performance out of any starting XI, even with some of our poorer options in there. I just want him to win us a trophy or two to add to our formidable collection.
Good work Hassenhuttl. I hope the board backs him in the summer and gives him a decent transfer kitty. That would be nice of the board and will help us long term as a club.
We were 19th in the table with nine points from 15 games. We were below Huddersfield. We had Mark Hughes. Then Ralph arrived. Eight wins in 21 league matches so far. Since he took over, we've been 11th in the table. Thank you, Ralph!
1.38 points per game under Ralph, and it could get better with the last 2 games. Absolutely priceless.
Thank you Ralph. I am so looking forward to what you can do next season. IMO best of the rest is achievable.
After a lifetime of watching saints snatch defeat from the jaws of victory I genuinely thought our number was up with Hughes in charge. We had virtually nothing; players were off form, not scoring, fans were revolting, there was literally no hope and with the financial side of things being so uncertain there was no guarantee of anything A bloated squad, a floundering Les Reed and about £30 millions worth of our players out on loan. It would need a magician of Dumbledores ilk to get us out of another fine mess. And then Ralph happened.... the rest is Saints folklore.... belief from the players, fitness, goals from across the pitch, attacking football, a ballsy decision from Ralph not to spend money..... even though across the season we have dropped about 27 points from winning positions.... we have for so much to be hopeful for next season.... thank you Ralph....
That’s a ridiculous turn around! I reckon we will win the next 2 as well, now the pressure is off. Redmond will probably score every shot
Found this on Twitter........don't know if true without checking. Southampton are the first ever team to go into matchweek 17 without having double figures in points and stay up afterwards. Even West Brom in 04/05 had double figures entering gameweek 17.
Congratulations and thanks to Ralph. It seem unanimous that we were doomed until he arrived. Brilliant manager.
More to the point now I suppose is who will be running the club next year. A friend of mine in the states has asked if Saints has had a share bought by someone else? Anyone else heard this rumour? Strangely my son in the states has heard the same....... I have told them both it’s just titttle tattle.........but is it??
