Can't quite see our Nick behaving like this, can you? After initial cheers he would be greeted with respectful silence. If he wasn't, retribution would be swift and painful!

I think it was the contempt that Mitchel had for us that caused most damage. Football Chairman do not get embroiled in fan rivalries. Nor do they put clubs down or constantly brag how big their club, or others is or isn't.......They also do not insult people by not paying their bar bills. Trying to emulate a club such as Portsmouth or ourselves simply because you have had a run of form is tragic for it's simplicity and innocence. Both our clubs have played football at the highest level for almost longer than Bournemouth have been in existence. Such was Mitchels arrogance he likened his little Bournemouth to the achievements of both clubs. Based mainly it seems on his victory over us in a pre season and the rocking of Man united all those years ago. I like Bournemouth but Mitchel is treating the fans with contempt. He may have been the overall saviour but he should not forget the fans input. They too have payed very dearly to keep the club alive and do not deserve to be treated in the way he seems to feel that he can........They will have lost a few hundred fans over this latest incident. That might not sound very much to you or I, but to Bournemouth that equates to thousands.

I feel sorry for Bournemouth fans and hope their clubs turns things around, but they have to realise that they are not, and never will be a big club. (Nor are we, although we are the bigger of the two by some considerable margin).

This shouldn't be compared with Delia. She is a true fan who puts a lot of her own money where her mouth is. How many of us, after a session on the cooking sherry, wouldn't have wanted to do the same, given the opportunity. She wanted the fans to sing up for their and her team. Funny as f**k, though. My Narge supporting son (he was born there and I encouraged him to support his local team) still cringes every time he sees it.

I feel sorry for Bmouth and hope they turn things around. However we've said for some time now how much of an idiot Mitchell is and how much he lacks class. Maybe Bmouth fans might finally start agreeing with us?

I feel sorry for bournemouth, no fans deserve to go through what their going through. But plymouth are in a far worse situation they could disappear in a couple of weeks let alone years.

They've had a great couple of years. Promotion, doing very well last season, some good football and decent players.

It's a fundamental fact of football that good players leave small clubs to go to bigger ones. Always has, always will.

I think because of those good couple of seasons, the expectations of some fans is now over the top. B'mth punched above their weight and now things are a bit worse again, both their fans and their chairman can't appear to take it.

When you support a club, you take the good and the bad. That's what it's about.

I agree with all your saying but what bournemouth fans have to put up with from their chairman aint right. Yes their in financial trouble etc but its the way he gos about it mouthing his own fans off.
Where as at everton you have a guy called kenwright, who do's a carm clear interview on how much of the brown stuff everton are in. Yes a few everton fans still protest but did you see the crowds reaction when his face appeared on there big screen?. Nearly all of the crowd clapped and cheered, yet bournemouth have to put up with mitchell.

They have to put up with Mitchell because he was the only one who had the money to take them out of admin. Now, whether he is trousering some of the transfer cash for himself is open to question.

Wasn't AFCB run as a fans trust for a while and that didn't work either and they ended up in Admin again?

Unless they get a much richer sugar daddie, can't see their situation changing. You can't compete in League 1 on average crowds of 6,000 (without someone pouring in their own money).

Quite an achievement for a League 1 club getting repeat air time on SSN.

Well after the antics of Mitchell and a few of their fans last season,i cant see Cortese allowing them to have a collection in the ground like they did before when they were in the brown and sticky. And if they did,i certainly wouldnt give them anything.
Although i think Mitchell is a complete and utter ****er,when they get less than 5,000 turn up to support them for a League 1 game, what do they expect Mitchell to do when an offer comes in for one of their players.
Perhaps some of them have taken his advise, and came to St Marys on Saturday.<whistle>

No wonder Cortese wanted him to pay the bar bill, by the state of him it appears his match ritual is to get trolleyed. Put sympathy to one side it is very funny though. It reminded me a little of the WWE, I was expecting someone to come charging in with a steel chair.

The whole thing is a joke. Eddie is clearly has no idea how to handle the media. And the fans dishing out abuse to him are an absolute disgrace as well. He is clearly trying to do what is right for the club, even if it is difficult.

Bournemouth have a had a few seasons where they exceeded expectations, and now it seems as though their fans have forgotten where they came from, and who it was that gave them the money to get there. They will always be a selling club due to the small fanbase, so to start turning on the chairman this badly after what, 4 losses? Its ridiculous.

We turned on Lowe and the board after years of ludicrous and terrible decisions, not a bad run of form at the start of a season.

Bournemouth is not the problem, the club is.
Bournemouth has 7 saturday leagues, 10 sunday leagues alongside dorsets 6 saturday leagues.. all of these leagues have at least 11 teams. The interest in the area is VERY high!

Bournemouth FC has huge potential for any buyer and if in the right hands would florish (Cortese for example). However everytime they look promising they turn fans against them with their stupid ticket system, high prices and lack of relationship with the town!

This club could easily attract 10,000-15,000 fans a week as the nearest club to most fans is Southampton and many of them cannot be bothered or afford to travel to southampton week in week out!

I hope bournemouth all the best, they have the potential to establish themselves as a Championship team but need the backing.

Let's face it, Bournemouth as a town is very small, and hasn't got a lot of youth, they are relying on families to take there kids and bring them up as fans. They're not going to ever get average attendances of 15,000 because a) they would need to refurbish or build a new stadium which will cost millions that they don't have, and b) they are only 20 odd miles away from us and many people from Christchurch, Boscombe and New Milton would rather come to st Marys than Bmth.

As a kid I used to have a soft spot for Bournemouth, I'm sure we all used to give a little cheer at the dell if they won, the focus on other teams then was always mainly on pompey losing.

Then in about 99/2000 or sometime around then I happened to go to a match down there with my cousin (we were down visiting, saints were at old trafford that day), and the massive (i mean like they'd won the cup) cheers that went up when tannoy announced we'd been stuffed really pissed me off. At that time they had been in real trouble (I guess things never change) and I remember saints had played a couple of friendlies as fundraisers etc to help keep their neighbours afloat.

Personally I've never forgiven their fans for that. whilst i still wish them well I must admit I enjoyed their failed promotion bid last year after all the big mouth cocky attitude we had at the beginning of the season.

    anyway that's how i feel...

Bournemouth itself may be small but the surrounding area such as Poole, Wareham, Swanage, Weymouth, Christchurch combined create a large amount of people with a lot of youth.. if you were to look at Bournemouths north stand it is full of people aged 13 - 25! Look at bournemouth town for night life as another example, people come from all over the surrounding areas and get there with ease, again full of youth.

The stadium may not hold 15000 people but it could attract that crowd as the train station is a 5 minute walk from the ground and links to all the local towns pretty easily! The interest is there if the people can fall back in love with the club again.. For most people that are Devon side of Dorset, bmouth is a far more attractive and appealing journey than Southampton because of the poor roads in Dorset. The people that are the Hampshire side of Dorset tend to support Southampton.

On top of this the location of bournemouh would be appealing to most footballers so if it did ever grow, players wouldnt mind moving down here

I used to have a soft spot for Bournemouth but after all their mouthing off last year and their childish copying of Pompey by calling us 'scummers', that soft spot's gone. I don't want to see them go under, but I think they will if Mitchell ups and leaves. Mitchell comes across as boorish and completely lacking in any social skills - telling your club's fans to go and support another team and offering people out is plain stupid, no matter how 'emotional' you are - but he's all they have at the moment.
