... that penalty decision was a disgrace. Great save but this referee is making a series of strange decisions. Great second half so far.
Mmmm, well I agree it was never a penalty, but I'm more aggrieved we where not given a penalty right at the death, and to be honest we have given away a penalty in every match (The first two where fouls outside the box) so we're used to it by now. After the Blackburn game we will probably find ourselves in the bottom 3 despite having played reasonably well in all our matches. But we have our problems and we're being made to pay for them. The problem is, when vaughan went down obviousley the penalty that should of been wasnt given but even worse seconds later vaughan gets up, blood gushing out of the mouth (head injury in my book) and all the ref is worried about is getting him off cause of a bit of blood on his friggin shirt. I know we moan about refs after every game but we have a right to, weve been robbed of points in nearly all the games which obviousley have gone to other teams profit. Were relying on refs to get descions right for us, and certain people say we cant rely on it, but other teams are get the descions that we arent getting so why is it wrong of us to feel agrieved and to moan. How long till lambert gets a fine for talking out about the rediclous ref descions against us time and time again!
Sadly, I have come to believe that refs are untouchable. The FA or whoever else might be responsible have never truly shown us how they make sure their refs perform well or punish them if they don't. Does anyone know what happens if they have a bad game like today? Nothing?
I think we should SCREAM penalty every time an opposition player falls over at home games as we know its coming to freak out the ref, it may confuse him into calling decisions properly..
They don't, they can be demoted down leagues but it rarely happens their protected effectively. Managers seem to get in trouble with the FA if they talk about refs especially if they use the media, they whinge on about being given respect of managers, players and fans but how can you respect people who aren't fit to make correct decisions and rarely admit their mistakes when they make them?
