I know the premise of it but very few players would accept it. A guaranteed 150k a week regardless of how you play or how you perform at say PSG as opposed to 80k a week with +amount for goals/assists/etc? 9 times out of 10, the player would take the high and guaranteed wage because there's so many factors affecting your bonuses - including luck - which is why it'll never be widely adopted. Makes me sad to look at the game financially
Never get that mentality. They've beaten (probably) Juve and have reached the CL semi-finals, they can't be that bad a side. Better than Man Utd anyway
Liverpool ‘close to agreeing personal terms with Timo Werner’ in £43m deal LIVERPOOL are close to finalising a deal with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. Sadio Mane hinted he intends to stay at Liverpool for many years to come as the forward targets becoming a legend at Anfield. Real Madrid are reportedly tracking Mane with a view to a summer transfer move after Zinedine Zidane personally requested the signing of the Senegal international. Mane has been in fine form for Liverpool in the Premier League run-in, scoring ten goals in his last 12 league appearances. Liverpool opinion – Joel Matip in contract talks – good deal? According to a report inFootball.London, Liverpool centre-back Joel Matip has opened new contract talks with the club. His current deal expires next summer, hence, the timing of this negotiation, if done, could be impeccable. With Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez missing games since the turn of this year, the former Cameroon international is having a good run in the side. Moreover, he is doing a good job as well. The 27-year-old, who arrived on a free transfer from Schalke in the summer of 2016, hasn’t been able to grab that number one centre-back spot in the team. However, his performance level and consistency in the past three months is commendable, to say the least.
Lots of rumours today about a Salah exit this summer. Any credence to them or just the Spanish press stirring the sh*t?
Dont see it happening. Is there a desire for him to go? Dont think so. Can anyone afford him? No chance
A few are circulating it from a Spanish news source (AS I think?) - it quotes a rift between Salah and Klopp and him wanting to hand in a transfer request, something he was talked out of doing with the promise of him being sold this summer. Just the kind of BS you’d expect out of Spain as the CL draws to a close.
Talking out of their AS… The agent of Mohamed Salah, Ramy Abbas Issa, has hit back at reports his client has asked to leave Liverpool. Spanish newspaper AS claimed today that Salah, 26, had asked to leave Anfield because of a long-standing issue with manager Jurgen Klopp. It was said that Liverpool’s owners agreed to facilitate his departure if he still felt the same way when the summer transfer window opens. However, Ramy Abbas Issa has responded to the rumour with a simple eight-word message. “Talking out of their AS again I see,” he wrote. please log in to view this image
