i am a big Kelv fan and whilst i am glad we dont play hoof ball and try and play it from defence i think he too often today put the defence under pressure with his throw outs. on a least 4 occassions today i nearly shat myself when his throws didnt give our defence any time on the ball. wouldnt swap him though
I love how a keeper can do 10 things right, 1 wrong, and everyone slates him. Kelvin is one of the best at this level and has my full support.
Kelv is without doubt one of the best keepers outside the Prem. But his distribution of the ball has to be questioned. We find ourselves saying the same things every week, he's 34, he's played for 16 years and he's played 590 games of football. Yet he cannot find a Southampton player when he kicks the ball out. It just baffles me. Birmingham will be his 200th game for us by the way, let's get behind him!
I started the debate back in the summer on whether our 1st choice should be Bart or Kelvin but Super Kelv really has lived up to his name in the first 6 games, he's been fantastic IMO. So many times in the past few years we've been hesitant at the back and he rescues us with a stunning save, just like yesterday.
