As Fosse has pointed out, if City win the FA cup (which in all likelihood they will) then that 7th place becomes really important for the likes of you, Leicester, Wolves and Watford. I know your result today is inconsequential as far as Everton are concerned for where Arsenal & Spurs finish, I'm just hoping HIAG has cursed it with a bit of #spursy magic.
That race for seventh is very tight indeed. I have mixed feelings about it - would be great to be "best of the rest" and finish above teams like Everton and Leicester but don't really want to start the season in early July for the Europa as it really takes it's toll. Anyway, the league takes a back seat today as it's off to Wembley for the semi final against a very good Wolves side. Our record is shocking - six semis and only won one so travelling in hope rather than expectation. Have a good day everyone
I agree about 7th and the EL, we’ve been on the wrong end of that early season start on a few occasions, it’s a double edged sword tbh. Enjoy your day mate, can’t beat a big Wembley cup game, the stuff of memories fella. Should be a decent game as well, between 2 pretty well matched sides.
Would be five with West Ham. Can't see West Ham doing it tbh. I think you, Wolves and Everton are the strongest contenders for that spot
Good spot ... wouldn't rule Watford out ... very capable on their day ... possible that whoever reaches the cup final might take their eye off the prize, but then again, might galvanize the squad to play for places in the final ... I'm just pleased with our form ... we are really good to watch right now. Such a young team but really starting to grow in confidence
