No doubt that the subs changed the game - credit to klopp for making those changes.

I’ve seen enough of Henderson to know that he’s not good enough to be a starter for this team but I can also acknowledge that he played very well tonight.

Our midfield.is cobbled together. I think klopp had a three in mind fekir, keita fabinho .fekir hasn't come, Keita might as well as not have come. And fabinho who reminds us of what having. Good midfielder looks like.

I'll be honest, when I saw henderson and milner coming on my heart sank. But henderHen in the middle with fab is a good combo, and taking taa off was s really good move.

Milner clattered redmond once and from then o. He looked to go inside

After tonight Keita has dropped into the 'very disappointing' sector for me, even though he scored, after hovering in the 'jury's still out' sector for quite a while, he's really not all he was cracked up to be unfortunately

I think he's a very good player that simply can't hack the pace of the PL

I was thinking the same. Thought he'd take Keita and Wijnaldum off and I wondered where the creativity would come from. Even more concerned to see TAA go off. It body worked though so shows what I know!

He actually looked better near the start of the season when he first came in, had some nice drive about him coming out of midfield but I don't know what he does anymore

I thought he played well today and I'm hoping it will give him a much needed boost.

Off the ball, he was fantastic. On tbe ball, not so much (again).

I've said Hendo for MOTM purely because of how much he changed the game when he came on.

You know what I'd go for Alisson today, just for the way he was trying to keep our tempo up with his distribution, didn't make any particularly big saves but I think he's really important for starting moves and stuff

Liverpool have beaten Southampton in four successive league games for the first time in the club's history.
Liverpool have won seven of their last eight Premier League games when conceding the opening goal (L1), including tasting victory on each of the last five.
  • Liverpool became the seventh club in English top-flight history to concede 5,000 goals after Everton, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland and Arsenal.
  • Liverpool's Jordan Henderson is the first Premier League substitute to score a goal, assist a goal and receive a yellow card since Graziano Pelle did so against Crystal Palace in May 2016.
  • Naby Keita's goal for Liverpool was his first Premier League goal of the season from his 23rd shot in the competition. He is the third player from Guinea to score in the league after Kamil Zayatte and Titi Camara.
  • Liverpool have scored 20 goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season, more than any other side, and they have also won a league-leading 16 points from losing positions

What I liked about that win was the character shown by our players along with a great tactical change from Klopp.
Southampton wanted it more than us and we struggled to match their intensity but we didn't give up on it we kept chipping away and putting the tackles in even though we'd lose them a lot of the time, eventually they started going our way and the tide changed.

What I didn’t like was the purple kit <yikes>
