frankly keita only looked interested when the ball was played to him. no interest at all.in getting good position or helping tea.

Considering he was played on the left of the three, it would be difficult for him to run to the other side of the pitch, replace wini to help out taa.

But you carry on moaning about **** all lad.

For quite a good chunk of the game, we were abysmal. I don’t think I’ve seen us play worse.

Gini was awful and has been for a while and Fabinho had a bad game. Keita started slowly but grew into the game and was involved in big moments.

Grateful for the 3 points! This team keeps on grinding out results. The last 3 games alone show us how good we are mentally.

Another poor game, but another win so can't complain too much!

Some negatives:
Midfield were gash. Even though Fabinho was doing a lot of the defensive work himself, he was letting runners roll off him, missing tackles and losing possession with weak passes. Keita had some moments, but did little defensively. Barely saw Gini.
Matip loves to go forward, and he's pretty good at doing it, but he's an awful CB when it comes to actually defending. Can't wait to have Gomez back.

Positives:
Keita and more importantly Salah have their much needed goals. Hopefully that can kick start Mo's season and maybe push Keita on a bit.
Mane's maturing into a solid and reliable forward, rarely less than a 7/10.
Hendo showed some captain's fight - that alone might be enough to push us on in tight games if he can start matches in that vein.

Good decision from Klopp to get TAA off, he was off all night - introducing both Milner & Henderson gave us the energy, experience and vocal kick up the arse we needed.

I wasn’t stressing too much to be honest, our second goal didn’t come how I imagined but what a relief for Salah - don’t be surprised if he looks a world beater again next week just when we need it!

<cheers>

Reactions: Klopp's Mannschaft
Was out so didn’t see the game but saw the goals briefly on sky app. Was Salahs a deflection? Looks a really weird flight of the ball, if not cracking finish. Absolutely brilliant break from the corner though, was like watching us last year. Leaving Salah 1v1 at the back wasn’t great defending.

Hendos goal was also very nice, lovely run and first time finish.

Dont know how we playe dbut thats a cracking result. I had it down as our toughest game left being away, saints being well up for it with amount of ex players playing etc. To go behind and then come back and win, open up the gap on city again and puts the pressure right back on them.

Chelsea at home next week straight after the city game, away at palace. Anything but a win and we could open up a proper gap again.

he did at one point find himself over there and utterly ****ed it up so... seriously watch back.

considering he spent most of the game.ball watching and not even trying what you said... sure whatever you like.

don't think it was a deflection on salah. I think the defender was too far over and he picked that spot as keeper was gambling on pass to firmino too

yeah that's about it alright. I'd call that a fair summation.

Lads enjoy the ride is all I can say. I enjoyed that wim more than the Watford thrashing. City know they have to play the perfect game. Fackin resilience

I beleive Palace will tip this. Support the lads with all the ounce you can master as they need it. But most important, enjoy the ride.

it'll be a big Sunday right enough.

Keita wasn't great but blaming him for the problems down the right is ridiculous, redmond played well, wini was non existent, and Trent again looked like hed Ben on the piss the night before. Plus Salah didn't defend at all in the first half.

On the left however keita made up the extra man with mane consistently harrying as well.

Wini was abject today, which is why he was removed, once he went we looked much better. I love wini, but it's a difficulty only being able to play him in home games

if both midfielders are basically just idly watching it create a lots of space. if you are saying the ball.never.moved from their right to the left.ok.. but I watch Keita absolute trotting watching Southampton attack us like he was gods gift and i dont like that ****.

making up and extra body attacking when Southampton went defensive doesn't excuse that.

the reality is Southampton could have been.out of sight but shut down and allowed us the control of game but sitting deep looking for a break

windy was bloody awful.
