The special bus was obviously parked around the corner on that day. Must of been Ipswich Kenny filming.

    Wow Chris <laugh>

    Ipswich Village! <laugh>

The only good thing about Acle is the straight that goes past it! <ok> I bet you spend many a happy hour counting the caravans going past on their way to Pikeyville on Sea!

Surely it was Ian Marshall on his holiday, he probably got Acle mixed up with Felixstowe since most people who live or have spent time in Ipswich are illiterate imbeciles, perfect stock for working in the fields.

You could ask, but I'd only bore you with the details. Nothing exciting I'm sorry to say.

To be honest JWM, I can't remember.
The pub was on the opposite side of the road to the Corn exchange though. That much I do remember. Oh.... and the food was quite impressive back then.
Since that particular competition has since been moved to Kettering - God knows why - I haven't been back to the pub.
Will ask one of my mates if they remember the name though.

There are 2 pubs side by side opposite the Corn Exchange.

The Eagle has an open courtyard and the Bath is next door.
