Just bought ticket for Bournemouth....am I mad? Note to self: check heart pills. Note to SFC: check extra oxygen available.
http://sportwitness.co.uk/italian-politician-claims-recommended-juventus-starlet-southampton/ The Italian Undersecretary of State says he has recommended a Juventus player to Saints. Whether he has or he hasn't, the most interesting thing to me is that Saints are described as the 'club of his heart'. Wonder how that happened....life moves in mysterious ways.
Ralph says no to "playstation" football at Saints.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47736883 good for him.
I know these Newsnow type articles should be taken with a pinch of salt, but this could be the type of market we’ll be looking at in the summer. Finances look a little tight from the end of year accounts and lack of expected extra investment. I’m speaking relatively of course, we can probably afford one player in the traditional 15-20m bracket, but depending on how we manage to dispose of the loanees, that could curtail other ambitions. Survival dependent of course...no un-Hatched chickens being counted here.
I couldn’t resist when I saw this online, especially as I’m a big Subbuteo fan too: A2 poster. Now for a frame.
It's probably garbage, but...that he hasn't received a single minute for their senior side would seem to argue against the likelihood that he'd be a contributor of real significance. "Player posts decent scoring record in second-highest amateur tier" is not generally something that suggests PL readiness; the French National 3 level is roughly equivalent to, I dunno, the Isthmian Premier Division, and scoring .75 goals/game for Bognor Regis isn't likely to lead to a position in the Saints matchday squad. (Sorry to say, Fats)
