I can't make up my mind if that would be more humiliating to Everton or Jose Mourinho if that came to pass.

On one hand Everton deserve better than a manager who has come to mean incompetence, petulance, and archaic playstyles.

On the other hand Everton is, in it's current form a less prestigious club than any Jose has managed before.

The whole thing sounds ridiculous.

Unless Moshiri finds half a billion in an old coat he'd forgotten about to bring them up to the level of competing with City, José would have to have a go at actually managing.

Yeah and he's never done that. He's always had squads already awash with talent or had mega millions to spend on household names that average Joe could have scouted from his living room.

He peaked with Porto and after that relied on masses of money to pave his way.

Like... we here could that possible go wrong like.... only issue is 4th is miles off at the moment for Everton so it'd be utter madness for him
 
Can't see Mourinho dropping down to Everton's level, nor can I ever see him taking on a build from scratch type challenge.

It would be a very good signing for Everton though; top class manager that would, should the finances be available, attract better players initially and help them potentially move up a level and join to big boys.

Boring, **** football for a couple of years (what's new?) Would be a small price to pay if he could lift them up to make the top six a top seven.

Can he get them into the top four? Not for me but he would get them closer to it.

Exactly. And that's exactly why I doubt see Jose rocking up at Everton
 
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appointed Manchester United permanent manager
Manchester United have confirmed the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager on a three-year contract.

The former United striker was appointed as the club's caretaker boss in December following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.

Solskjaer has won 14 of his 19 matches in charge, helping to propel United back into the race for a top-four finish.

As well as improving the club's league form, the Norwegian masterminded a memorable comeback in the Champions League last-16 tie against PSG earlier this month, with United overturning a two-goal first-leg deficit to set up a quarter-final tie against Barcelona.

Rafa is an intellectual and I think he sees football from an academic point of view - problems to be analysed and solutions to be found.
Mourinho is a showman and needs to be the centre of attention.
