Something for the weekend sir/madam ?
I found whilst tidying the shelves in my bedroom an ancient fanzine from may 1999 ( cost 29p !!!!!!!) and in it I found a bit of light entertainment that may relieve the boredom of waiting for Wembley.
It is a light-hearted quiz (and timeless) a slightly cryptic 25 descriptiond of English and Scottish football teams. I’ll give the first dozen and if it fits your fancies I’ll give the 2nd half later. So here goes:-
Which teams are these,
1) Cowboys wear them
2) A heavy toilet
Only for the oldies:-
3) you get nylon from here.
4) Any one for tennis or even croquet.
5) same sex ceremony
6)Animal crossing
7) Pack animals
8) Dark pond
9) Not so old fort
10) A cook al fresco
11) Non-oriental bacon
12) A car nail
Not too difficult I believe apart from No. 4 which is for those who had black & white tellies.

Brentford was an advert på tv gor a vompany ‘Brentford Nylon’ which was an irritation for years on the old 12» &14» telly. You would to be an osp gor thst one. The questions were rom 20 years ago. But Oxford was easy.
