Yeah, it was the same with Garcia... although Garcia just let himself get tackled too much... coulnd't hold on to the ball and wouldn't pass when he should. The forums were always full of people screaming at Garcia- but you'd see his brilliant plays- of which he had a number on the highlights.
Not sure if the BBC stats record penalties as shots. When we beat you 3-2 at OT last season, the BBC reported that you only had one shot on target!!
I really want Downing to score... he tries so hard and works with the team instead of being selfish... and he's had several close misses. I'd love nothing more than to see Downing score our next goal.
Suarez miss! This was one of the most one-sided games i've seen in a while. Hats of to Stoke for some impressive defending and keeping. I'm not too worried about the result, if someone had told me that we'd of had nearly 20 chances on goal, I'd of taken it before the start of the match....normally, we'd of tucked a few of those in....football eh?
I think I made a post saying you would get 4th by default this year due to arsenal and spuds problems. I think it got deleted by some crazy mod as is the way on this forum.
Didn't see the first half... second half looked unjust for us to lose. We looked dominant- but to be honest we looked too casual when we had our chances- our passing was poor (long grass or not). I think tactics- and maybe drive were there- but we were simply not focused... did they all take allergy medicine before the game? Overall we looked good though... and based on watching the 2nd half we should have won.
Totally dominated the game, I cant remember EVER being on top in a game so much and losing.Refs give a 50/50 call there way for pen, then doesnt give a 80/20 call to us. Very, very, very unlucky not to win, never mind draw
Ashame we lost, we have such drive, determination, passion and commitment. Even Glen Johnson going into a few tackles whilst it seemed he was carrying a knock. Full time: Stoke City 1-0 Liverpool But the result isn't the full story. Well done Stoke, lets pick ourselves back up next week against Spurs
A ****ing piss poor performance from Arsenal as Swansea give them a comical goal and miss a few absolute sitters. How annoying.
Any defeat is bad but the never give up attitude we showed lessens the disappiontment....only slightly though.
