that wouldn't have made any difference to me but am worried i didn't recognise it considering i have been been in the directors box mind you was a tad pissed since it was a wedding reception
That was April 2013 - the year we won L2 - hard to believe that we had a little known Mahlon Romeo come on for that game, to be his last performance for the club. Nice little ground, where both sets of supporters were no trouble. Although i remember walking out the pub after getting pissed off with the landlord, so went over to the ground bar instead. Fair to say the pub lost a fair bit of cash that day in potential takings.
The grounds bit of a box imo but decent facilities considering the clubs size . was the pub near the ground ?
I was trying to think of the right words to describe the ground, you got it spot on with 'box.' But yes the facilities were decent as you say in regards to their size. I'm guessing as i was walking the pub must have been near the ground, clearly the landlord didn't know how to cope with being busy, as they were relatively new to the leagues (well that's the only excuse i can think). From memory the pub was ok just the landlord couldn't cope and had no staff on of significance and my patiece with him had run out.
'Right lads, we're not losing so let's keep it this way. I've got 14 minutes to smoke 20 Rothmans so see ya'
