49 dead after some ****ing idiots have gunned them down in a mosque. One guy filmed himself doing it. The video is brutal.
 
Heard an eye witness account from inside one of the mosques on the radio this morning. Graphic stuff including description of head shots, children being shot. The world's gone mad.

Scum bag didn't even have the decency to top himself - at least alive they can hopefully establish more detail behind the attack and catch anyone that aided it, sadly life in prison will not be suitable sentence, although i don't condone the death sentence.

Sad day for New Zealand, never ever would have thought news of such an atrosity would be coming out of that country. Police chief reported man has been charged with 'murder' - shouldn't that be 'terrorism' too?

It needs a good hard look into his background to see what indication there may have been that this coward was liable commit such an act. I'm not one for limiting freedoms, but Facebook needs to look at its systems to reduce the chances of others getting the oxygen of publicity and families watching the tragedy of their loved ones suffering.

The only reason for keeping the **** that did it alive, is to make sure anyone else remotely involved is hoovered up too.

He's a white supremacist inspired by Donald Trump. It doesn't need over analysing.

Something i'm noting with the Sky headlines and discussions is it being constantly regarded as 'shootings' and acts of 'violence' - does the words 'terror,'
terrorist and and terrorism not apply when a mosque is attacked?

The shooting was carried out by at least one gunman who posted on online “manifesto” stating white supremacist viewpoints and naming prominent Donald Trump supporter and right-wing American media personality Candace Owens as the person who most inspired him to commit acts of violence.

He also praised Trump himself “as a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose.” But he disavows Trump as “a policy maker and leader.”

In the document, the alleged shooter, who identifies himself as a native Australian named Brenton Tarrant, expresses the common white supremacist belief that white people are being subject to “white genocide” and “replaced” by “non-Europeans” due to “mass immigration and the higher fertility rates of the immigrants.”
