Spurs reserve keeper Ben Alnwick has joined Leyton Orient on loan for a month to act as back-up for David Button, who is also on loan there from Spurs.
Button picked up a shoulder injury recently and will be assessed on Monday.

Well I hope that he proves me wrong, but I'm not a fan of Alnwick.
Good luck to him and Orient, though.

I would love to know why we gave Alnwick a new contract

The guy isn't up to it, that's not his fault, it's just the way it is. So why did we give him a new contract this summer?

Wasn't Alnwick named in the 25?

Yep. Maybe we shouldn't have been so quick to loan out the likes of Naughton and Khumalo?

Hangf on, "back up for David Button"?

Does this mean Alnwick has dropped down to being our fifth-choice keeper? Bloody hell...

To be fair, Alnwick was just picking up his pay. Can't remember the last time he played.
