"The DUP's Sammy Wilson has said he's concerned there are MPs in Parliament who are doing "the work of Brussels" to keep the UK in the EU.
He said the "telling point" for the DUP from legal advice today was that unless there was a fundamental change in circumstances, "we would be stuck with the withdrawal agreement unless the EU agreed to release us from it".
He defended his party's decision to vote against the deal in the Commons later.
Asked what would happen if a vote took place to rule out a no-deal Brexit, Mr Wilson described MPs who would vote in favour of taking no deal off the table tomorrow as "agents of Brussels".
"Brussels wants us to stay in the EU as well," he added."
The DUP basically no admitting they want the hardest of hard brexists so that pesky border to the southerners can be built as high as high can be.
He's going to vote down the deal to have brexit but then Vote for a no deal brexit the next day.
All they want is their version of the union and to tear down the agreements made in northern ireland for peace to make sure theres no possibility of border polls. I'd say he's celebrated the postal fireworks recently.

you know that doesn't matter. they have ever since that disastrous election may called been plotting to create the conditions to have the hardest border possible in order to cement their aims of preserving their version of the union.
they have not been listening to their own constituents nor local businesses but have been driving the agenda that nothing but a border matters.
The reality is these guys have been out for 3? years in the devolved parliament but have still gotten paid so the political and public services types simply don't care about people who need to do something as dirty as business to make a living... worse yet business with the south not the mainland.

The minute May set her red lines & annouced we’d end FoM & thus leave the SM & CU, then it became impossible to solve the Irish border issue without a technological solution that hasn’t been invented yet, or a border in the Irish Sea. It’s that simple, yet they’ve refused to simply state the facts and be honest about it.

In the end theres only dribs and drabs of MPs saying they have changed sides. 17 at last count.

The DUP - NO (meaning no surrender to the ira)
The ERG - NO meaning we want a hard brexit
The SNP - NO meaning remain
The LIBs - NO meaning remain
Plaid - who cares
they are linked up with SNP nowThe independants - NO cos we want a fairer something or other or we are remain or something.
Labour - NO cos we want an election. (but are pretending to be remain or something)
so.... 230 vote defeat so far is now down to about 190... and i'm sure it'll fall to about 140 by 6pm news.

So we are heading for an extension to A50 and if I've heard correctly Parliament will make a motion to take control of the process. At which point May's position becomes untenable, although the way things are, even that's not a given. In the old days some things followed a set routine e.g. PM falls on sword if his/her flagship agenda doesn't get passed. Not any more.

They're politicians. They are programmed that way i.e. not to be straightforward and honest. They don't seem to understand that they'd get far more credit if they were. There is an irony that May appears to have been scuppered by the Attorney General not being lent on. Probably values his legal career more highly than his political one.

This is what fcks me off about May. After she lost the first vote, she stood up announced humbly that she had heard what the House was telling her and that she would look reach out to all sides of said House and come up with something new. After 2 months of beligerent arrogance, it sounded refreshing. Then.... she goes and ignores everyone except the ERG and offers up the same thick pea soup she served up the first time. And now, the stupid fckwit will take it to a 3rd vote. THIS tells us all we need to know about how May has led her whole political career, and others who know her say this is exactly who she is and has always been.
It's scum like her that are the obstacle to politics ever becoming anything of integrity.

The entire debacle has become a complete farce, it’s now that surreal it feels like we’re living in a parody.
We suggest the U.K. Backstop, the EU reluctantly agree.
We then go back and say we don’t like the U.K. backstop, as a group of bobble heads who’ve been saying solving the Irish border with technology was dead easy, have decided that the backstop will leave us ‘trapped’ if they can’t prove what they said was dead easy is actually a thing, thus making it moot.
The EU look at us like we’re mental & agree assurances on our own idea that won’t see us trapped, if we do the thing that’s apparently dead easy.
