Would most agree that we don't really need to add a lot to the squad for next season?

With Milner probably moving on and Studge deffo going I would look to replace those 2, I'd love Werner and that sorts out one area and with an improved Wilson coming back and AOC hopefully fit it gives us more attacking midfield option. I suppose cover full back would be a good idea.

A new RB/LB ideally 1 who can cover both is a must
A new striker is a must
A new Coutinho/Fekir is still on Klopps mind I am sure.

I agree with the top 2 but wonder if we have the players already in midfield, I'm quite confident that Keita will improve and hope AOC can stay fit, add a hungry Wilson to that instead of Shakira and is that enough? None of them are that Coutinho, Fekir type player though.

Lallana if he is like yesterday or that of a few season ago is a workhorse, but he doesn't open teams up with ability on the ball.
Keita and Chamberlain are dribblers who drive forward, but again aren't threading the ball through a needle.

Still think we miss that type of player from time to time

2 crucial signings for us would be a versatile wide attacker and a number 10.

We also need a back up full back and a centre back. We should be selling Lovren this summer. regardless of his ability, he’s physically unreliable.

I don't agree on a 10. Its an 8.

the others I would bascially have no issues with and have said as much

We need to make it 5 real options for 3 slots up front. I hesitate to call shaqiri a real option but he'd be no 5.

We need a no 8 or keita to transform himself . I'd have no issue with a new no 8, keita and fabinho all playing.

Keita will be better next season so does he fix the problem?

I think he have to believe he’ll improve and not look to sign a replacement.

Soneone with pace to cover cover the wide areas, atm, Salah and mane being out really hinder us as forces us down one side. Someone like a zaha that can play either side with pace and trickery

def need something in midfield, someone who is that bit more attacking and creative. Even if Keita comes good he’s still not that creative spark of a Coutinho or David Silva for example.

Someone that can play centrally up top would be nice. More options there so not reliant on firm all the time, although you could switch Salah central and then cover the wide area with soneone.

And as as others have said, competition at full back, especially LB as Robbo will be only option next season.

I think Keita, Gini and Ox can all play the box to box role well.

What we need is creativity, someone who can pick a pass and play in tight spaces.

Don't get me wrong, Coutinho is a good player and has some of the guile that we lack occasionally - but I think people are forgetting how often we struggled to break down resolute defences even with him in the side.
Too often he would resort to his trademark 20-25yd curler coming in from the left. Each one that went in miraculously erased the memory of the nine that only bothered the car-park attendants.
We do need someone with a slightly different skill-set to the ones we have for when they're not getting through, but perhaps there are others out there who can do it without the price tag - and just as importantly - without the baggage of returning to a former club and the expectations that brings.

I'm wondering if Klopp is happy with a more workman like midfield, perhaps he'll look at what we have plus the players coming back and think it's enough.

Don't know - I assume he was hoping Keita would have been more successful than he has been. Perhaps Klopp will work on improving him, but I still think he wants someone who provides a workable alternative to the current tactic.

i have the impression that the medical/fitness staff have talked to Klopp about not overplaying TAA if possible.

Yeah and I agree with that we need to make sure he's fit and ready to play but at times we have no other options or the ones that we do have mean that we don't play as well as we can.

Not sure if he is happy with a workman midfield given we really wanted a player like Fekir.

Hopefully he isn’t content with what we have! Lallana has to go - 30 years old, injury prone and on big wages. He doesn’t have a future here.

Milner - old, legs are going, not a starter and on big wages. Contract is almost up as well.

Ox may never return to his level, Keita hasn’t hit form yet, Gini is inconsistent and Hendo is Hendo.
