I can't remember another of our matches this season with so many misplaced passes

We were unbelievably poor today, playing slow, indecisive football against 10 men

I don't think that anyone rated more than 5/10 - maybe Lumley but only because he had so little to do

Urgently need 3 points on Wednesday

Lumley’s passing was much better and even quite good today. :)

He needed to make a challenge but flew in with his foot up, nowhere near the ball, close to a straight red imo

Well that was horrible again, tramore mentioned ikea and that’s us, sort of alright but cheap with bits missing.
I counted 8 attempts at 30/40 yards cross pitch passes that failed.
Stoke still smell of Pulis
It seemed to me that the BFG had about 8 of them by himself, Scowen and Cousins both made decent challenges. It was windy but Lumley's distribution was pretty good.

With little "link up", you'd think the game was crying out for Eze.
He seems completely out of favour and Steve seems to be going back to the crap 4-4-2.
**** eh?
BOS did stir things up a bit and caused some thrill in the crowd so credit to the lad for that.

The very sad conclusion us that man for man they are just not good enough OR SM has not managed to create the best team.

Either way, when the summer sale is over, we're going to be even more seriously lacking in quality. I have renewed my ST but that was partly because it's my first year at 60 hence the discounted rate!

Onwards and......well. whichever way COYRss!

Steeve...has said in his postmatch interview " he was not sure what more the team could have done"...
I know I am only a girl and don't really understand football....but maybe something they could have done was actually score

Did he really say that? ****ing hell, it’s an admission either of the team’s limitations or his own, or possibly both. Scary.

Dire match, impotent in attack. The most positive thing Scowan did was supporting the Stoke player with his ankle to get him sent off. Cousins attempted cross in the box nearly knocked out a bloke in the back row of the upper loft.

BOS was a breath of fresh air. Glad we're not in the bottom 3 because in this form, we'd never get out

Well perhaps he should ask himself what more he himself could have done. Like not playing 4-4-2 with Cousins out of position at RB, Freeman wasted out wide and the non-footballer Hemed up front. A ridiculous team selection, but he could have saved himself by changing it after 10 minutes when they went down to 10. He failed.

Apart from the Fa cup run, this season has just been pretty damn boring to be honest. I just cant make my mind up about Steve. Just when you think hes got something right, he changes it for the worse. I know some of our players are not the best but there just seems a total lack of ambition about the club which has become tedious. I know our financial restrictions hinder that but I'm talking about the likes of Eze on the bench. Chair ripping it up out on loan. Why are these players not starting in a pretty poor team? I would put money on us losing Freeman for next season as he has been the highlight of a drab year.

Maybe the team knows it is being decimated in the summer. Mins not hard to motivate yourself when you know you're not investing into your own future. I know they're professionals etc but they are people too.
Not particularly trying to make excuses but it's never as simple as we sometimes think!

Smith now out for weeks apparently, shame as he's one of only 3 players we have who ever look even remotely close to scoring a goal.

A very frustrating game. McClaren should've long ago realised that 4-4-2 doesn't suit this group of players. Hemed was awful and hardly broke into a sweat. Lord knows what's happened to Scowen, he was half decent last season but in this game he couldn't even pick a pass while unopposed. When Cousins was good he was very good but when he wasn't he was shocking. Not his fault though, he shouldn't be playing right back.

I think in the absence of Eze, Freeman should've played in the no 10 role with BOS on the left and Pawel on the right and only one of Wells and Hemed. I think that's what Steve should've done as soon as Stoke went down to ten.

We made it too easy for Stoke as everything was played in front of them. Attempted crosses were coming in from deep positions ( 30 yards out ) when we should've tried to stretch their 10 men by getting down the channels and trying to turn their defence around. Instead of that we had a pedestrian display of slow passing which was more often than not misplaced and the odd long cross-field pass flying out of play.

Another game of nothingness that won't last in the memory. This is all feeling very much like last season and the one before that, probably.
